I hope Bradford go up to join us next season - but dream on as far as giving Leeds a good thrashing is concerned. It is usually the other way around. The championship should be re-named the Yorkshire Championship next season, as there could be as many as 8 Yorkshire clubs - with each playing 16 local derbies.

So instead of doing online editions of the LBA timetable that I produce each summer and winter seasons I have decide that I can longer keep doing this free of charge.
So I'm thinking about offering a print edition which will be available to purchase for a small fee of just £1.50, (summer 2017 edition is 32 pages and included colour pictures) In doing so it will cover my costs of printing ink and the time it takes me to produce it every 6 months, plus postage using Royal Mail.

Here's a little sample as to how the summer 2017 timetables looks like...

I've already test shown a draft copy of the summer 2017 edition to a few members on here and they have said they would be willing to accept a small charge to cover my costs.

I hope you like, And I look forward to all your comments and opinions.

Go for it Ross. You've put a lot of effort into producing the online version over the years and people take it for granted.

Nice to see you back in action Deepdale Boy!!! And yes Ross, I am up for it too. Maybe the airport should buy it too!!!

Yes they do and are aware, but they take the view that generally, only people who want to have a moan go on these sites to say their piece, whilst there are many more that are either happy, or insufficiently bothered to complain. This is probably true. If people look for things to complain about they will find them. Some folk do it all the time - whether at airports, restaurants, pubs, or whatever.

LBA would probably argue that they are investing significant money to improve the situation on a regular basis, and the current works which generate 500 more seats will make a huge difference at peak times, but short of throwing a huge amount of money at a new terminal (which isn't going to happen with an investment company owning the airport), the best they can do is deal with issues in priority order to provide a gradual improvement. This includes airfield improvements, not just the terminal. The key changes for me will come with the terminal extension, as this should provide the space to enable the baggage reclaim area to be expanded and the entire arrivals experience to be improved. So far, almost all of the money spent has focused on the departing passenger experience.

To be fair, from my experience, people do these reviews at other airports and they too are often negative, and particularly at a time when there are major works going on - despite the fact they are intended to make things better in the long run. People want improvement, but are not too happy when they are affected by the works required to provide them. So, I think therefore that rather than focus on how many complain about LBA on these sites, you need to look at the other airports too and see how LBA compares then.

Maybe LBA management should take a leaf out of the book from the restaurant i read about the other day, customer left poor feedback on Trip Advisor so restaurant sued them for deformation!!

Sorry it's took me so long to reply and get this sorted, Good news is that I'm now able to accept online orders for copies of the LBAspotters in association with Forum4Airports "@LBA summer 2017 Timetable"

I've had to increase the cost to £2, this is to cover PayPal charges which I hadn't taken into consideration beforehand.

To order you own copy click following link:
http://www.lbaspotters.net/summer2017timetable.htm

I really do till think that £2 is great value, 32 page timetable booklet, fully up to date flight information (as time of going to print). colour pictures, airport & airline codes. The price also covers all costs of Printer Ink, Paper, Packaging & postage (Dispatch by Royal Mail 2nd class)

Doesn't exist anymore......the PC Brigade have seen to that....you can't take the P out of yourself without offending someone these days......anyhoo....back to topic :D

The laws of defamation has nothing to do with political correctness or "the PC Brigade". Freedom of expression has always had limits, and that includes the limits to not defame or libel someone or their business. A bad review as such does not give rise to an action for defamation. A review which is deliberately false and designed to cause harm is actionable. If you would like to tell me what is "politically correct" about that I would be very interested, but most of us would call it common sense, especially if you happen to be the person/business affected.

Anyway, back to the topic as you said.

Ironic that the new LBA Chief Exec is ex Newcastle as was John Parkin.
I wonder if his style of management will be any different?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
