Interesting comments that the MAX9 will have a longer range than the Airbus.

Anastasia Vishnakova: "We will receive the new Airbus in 2018 and open three airports in Birmingham and London, and one in Paris. We will launch flights to Boston, New York and Toronto. We plan to expand, we are not currently able to discover exactly where, but there will be new destinations, and in 2019 we will receive new Boeing 737Max 9 planes that have a longer flight distance and will be able to fly beyond the current Airbus.

Current Airbus so not the neo or LR?

Does not take much reading between the lines to work out their intent.

But. Where does the 900max get us to? 3510 to 3605 nm range? Washington Dulles just.

Interesting and not BHX specific so my apologies, however Norweigan have swapped CDG for Orly for there upcoming new service to Newark EWR that is due to start on the 28FEB18.

Mighty Norweigan are not running scared of Primera are they ?

Norwegian in last week’s schedule update adjusted planned service for Paris – Newark route, scheduled to commence on 28FEB18. The airline previously planned to operate to/from Paris CDG, however this has switched to Paris Orly. Planned 6 weekly remains unchanged, and the airline has filed 7th weekly rotation (Day 2) from 25MAR18.

Or maybe they are shifting it to provide competition for LEVEL when they takeover Open Skies?

It looks as if it may be a Stockholm based aircraft. Their Monday flight gets into Chania at 11:30 then departs back to ARN at 23:00 which fits with our timings.

Great to see them branching out. Would it be too much to ask for a few more away based flights to the likes of Corfu and Zante?

It would sure be nice.

I've not checked around but I wouldn't be surprised if there is a tour operator taking a chunk of seats with the rest on general sale. If so there may be a chance of more away based flights?

We now have two gaps in the short haul flight numbers sequence, 2935/6 and 2939/40.

Will they be filled?

Barcelona PF2931/2
Malaga PF2933/4
Palma PF2937/8
Chania PF2941/2

Well we know from reports that a large majority of the old MON slots were handed to Primera. I’m sure they have the slots, I’m just curious to know if they have the aircraft availability!

I hope this is just a website blip, but a bit concerning............

Sad I know, but I normally check the Primera website quite regularly to check the latest prices and a noticeable difference tonight, and it has been like this all evening.

All of the Boston fares have shot up, cheapest £699 out and £726 return.
The Tues/Thurs/Sat Newark fares are the same £699 out and £726 return.

Skyscanner returns the the same fares.

Coincidentally, Tues/Thurs/Sat are the days the Boston flights do not operate, so the higher fares equate to 7 days and one based aircraft.

All Stansted fares look ok, as do the BHX-Toronto.

I hope this is a website blip and not a sign of flights being cancelled.

Does anyone know the serial numbers of the A321's due to be delivered ? The Airbus A320 family production lists i normally monitor is up to 8150 now and no sign of a Primera allocation.

I really hope this is a blip and/or I have totally misread the situation. With all of the publicity and advertising taking place, credibility would be shot if they started cancelling routes.

Having looked at the Primera website, the high pricing on EWR and BOS, with normal pricing on YYZ could indicate a 4 x weekly EWR and 3 x weekly YYZ and no BOS.
I sincerely hope this is a blip, especially with all of the marketing and hype that has taken place.

This bit doesn't add up. Could the aircraft be listed under a lessor, or other operator name?

Kevin

Looking at Amadeus that is exactly what has happened. Boston has gone and New York only 4x weekly.

Not a great start when you are trying to build brand awareness and consumer confidence.

Would i be right in saying that Primera are the launch customer for an A321 NEO LR (long range) varient, or is this just crap i’ve read elsewhere on the internet from poorly informed media

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
