How many flights does MAN have to NYC each day? Do they need another?

Business is business I guess, and if MAN have offered a better deal than BHX then so be it. It just stinks the way the whole saga has been handled. We started with billboards around the city, press releases etc. And it's slowly died a death that, even now, is still slowly diminishing.

One thing is for sure is that Primera are a poorly run company. Maybe lack of intervention on BHX's part hasn't helped, but either way, the way Primera have handled this mess has been awful.

Primera start a new route next Monday BHX to Chania

And even that looks as if it may have been trimmed.

I though that it was originally going through until the first or second Monday in Sept (can't remember which) but the website won't let me go past the end of August?

I retain my idea that the MAG group have ruined it for BHX and ive just seen the final straw drawn

I knew from the day the same routes were launched from STN and BHX, MAG would be straight into saying “oh look we have MAN up north too”

First the sun routes...

Now ive just seen they’ve applied to add EWR and IAD from MAN for this winter

The MAG is squeezing BHX’s routes away from above and below, its doing my nut in

Talking of MAG, would it ever be possible that one day BHX could be an MAG owned airport ? :wideyed:

Sorry guys i know i am probably boring you with my flight saga but i really wanna see how this is going to end up. It is actually quite amusing.
This is the latest reply from Primera Air via social media

"Hello, In the system I can see that the flights are operating as scheduled."

So Brum X has kindly asked them when i will be able to book another seat for my best friend (Im not) :sneaky:

Purely a personal view but I suspect many up North do not want Primera anywhere near Manchester.

As an aside I think some on here would do well to look at BHXs own backyard rather than blame Manchester for their ills.

The success of BHX in 2015 /2016 had absolutely nothing to do with Manchester, and nor does its FAILINGS NOW !

It might be worth expending any excess energy on discussing what BHX needs to do to put its own house in order.
a lack of retention being a key question.

Why does Manchester get blamed for what happens at BHX Glider Pilot
MAN doesn`t need or want Primera

Whilst I too would get defensive if Manchester 'contributors' blamed BHX for a particular failing at MAN, you must admit it is a bit suspicious that Primera originally launched BHX and STN, the latter of which is owned by MAG, and now it 'looks' like Primera are pulling out of BHX and seem to have an interest in setting up shop at MAN, another MAG airport.

Which makes it all the harder for BHX 'supporters' to be happy with the notion of Primera pulling out of BHX just to open a base at MAN.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
