▶️ Video Review: Birmingham Airport Videos

Nooooooo, have they closed it for good ?

Vehicular access was stopped some time ago, this is not unusual for winter though. More recently the pedestrian steps have been fenced off preventing access, the reason given was that 'enthusiasts have been seen climbing on the edge'.

Once again a few numpties spoil things for everyone 🙁

Level 7 (the floor below) is still a decent spot, I've photographed from there numerous times. The view will be even better once the hangar is demolished.
Will Hanger 2 ever be demolished at this point if it will be gone I would not mind not being able to go on the top floor of NPC.

It is due to be demolished soon but I can't remember the exact timescale. There was a application put in to SMBC fairly recently.

Thank you for that. I am aware of Sheldon Country Park, but I would imagine that is a better spot for photographs 11am onwards.

Depends what Runway is in use. If Runway 33 is in use then Sheldon Country Park isnt the best place as some of the planes (Most of them) are too high since the runway extension and planes landing vacate the runway further down the runway.

I hope hanger 2 is gone soon. I have done Sheldon Country Park & did not have a good time there due to lets just say not friendly members of the public. I will only go there now in like a group meet up which is very rare. Other then that Car park 5 viewing area or NCP car park. but looking into doing Coventry Road for my next set of videos/photos for a change.

Superb airmanship by the crew of the Emirates 380. Although massive machines they can get thrown around by Mother Nature as well as any aircraft.

I use EK 380s each year between the UK and Australia and turbulence is a frequent occurrence on the UAE-Oz sector, especially over the Indian Ocean.

A couple of years ago we experienced the worst turbulence I've ever endured in the sense of its degree over such a long period. For nine hours of the 14-hour Melbourne-Dubia flight we experienced almost continuous turbulence, some of it so severe that the cabin staff were strapped in at times with the 380 bouncing around the sky.

Is there a particular reason why that journey is so bad turbulence wise?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
