Interesting. I wondonder what these flights will do for the LBA - BUD Jet2 connection which is well estblished now. I haven't used Wizz before but would consider them if price/timings etc were favourable. Any comments on Wizz please?
I haven't looked at the flight timings but did wonder about this aspect as a late arrival in BUD is, for the majority of UK passengers, a bit of a waste of time. It certainly wouldn't encourage me to shift from Jet2 LBA flights.
Think they are more geared to the Hungarian's going home for a few days than leisure travel the majority of Wizz flights land back on the mainland late from DSA.
Hopefully it is just the route bedding in Wizz flights are usually pretty full on all routes.Just had a quick look on the website they have some very low prices but none are full.
At present Brexit ain't worrying Wizz at all, it may change we don't know however I am quite hopeful they will stay strong in the UK moving forward. Liverpool recently got extra flights as you know but I would expect more positive news for both airports going forward I always look with interest what Wizz are adding at Liverpool with both airports being owned by Peel.Good news for Doncaster . I hope they will continue to add to their Liverpool ops too.

Wizz are much needed at DSA I would love to see them open a base with 3-4 aircraft not sure if it would be at all feasible but the issue for the airport is the likes of easyJet, Jet 2 and Ryanair won't touch the place leaving little hope of expansion apart from in my opinion Wizz going down the same route as they have at Luton albeit with a much larger network or TUI expanding. Wizz operate to routes that TUI do not seem interested in operating to from DSA like Fuerteventura and Malta and could go head to head on some of the sun routes with TUI like Palma that seems like it has lost the Flybe flights it has had the last couple of years even a couple of Greek routes . Wizz seem the only real company that could make real expansion at the airport happen. On some routes I am sure more capacity would be filled and Wizz's model would be a welcome addition to TUI's offering. With Liverpool and Birmingham being the nearest airports Wizz operate to DSA competition for them here isn't a factor I don't know if the airport has pushed for anything more than we have at DSA but they seem a perfect fit for the airport and could really make themselves the airports airline of choice and largest carrier by some distance if they were to dip there toes on some of the sun routes.
Go DSA! It's good to see Wizz still expanding from Doncaster and from the UK in general. Was Wizz one of the airlines Ryanair used to slate saying BYEBYE?
