I have written to quite a lot of friends about this and sad to say quite a few haven't replied, whilst others who said they would sign it still haven't by their own admission.

Only 6 more signatures so far today. I do hope there are many that just haven't got round to signing. I will wrack my minuscule brain to see if I can find anyone else to share the link with
Maybe a good time to reshare as much as possible with it been the weekend.

Could it be worth sharing with any other likeminded airport support groups? If there is any.

You would have thought with the amount of people who are directly employed by the airport or associated companies such as airlines or handling agents, including all those on furlow/laid off that there would have been a much greater take up, after all their jobs depend upon the success of the airport.

I have shared with a large company at LBA! To be honest we are doing well. Dont worry everyone. this is about quality of arguments rather than quantity and LBA have a great economic case. For the housing development at Bramhope they got 1000's of signatures of verifiable local people on the petition but it didn't make a jot of difference....we have a great economic argument and that's what counts.

We have to remember that not everybody is as keen as we are on this. Some people would rather moan about the facilities, than do something and support this.

We've hit an iconic Boeing Aircraft type just now with the petition total. One aircraft type our member @a300boy use to fly for "Dan Air"

We hit the slightly less iconic 717 this morning, so it's taken the rest of the day to go up the extra 10. I wonder when the 737 will be reached? Let's hope when we do, it's not the Max!

Well it was 727 yesterday early evening. Since then, we have gone all the way up to .....733. A whole 6 increase.

Well it's not the iconic 737 figure but 733 is the abbreviated number given to the 737 300 so still quite appropriate given how many of those we have seen here since they first appeared in the 80s.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
