Something seems rather fishy about yourself Fossil, not sure if you've come on here to cause trouble but you dont sound like much of a enthusiast. "Specifically this related to the greater use of widebodies if the new terminal was built, which conveniently would also keep down additional movements." not once has this ever been mentioned? ever.. I personally dont appreciate you coming on here with false claims, listening to too much Galba? or are you a member.. who knows.
in regards to LDA & angle degree, I personally can not comment and do not know, i'm sure the airport are the ones to answer that, but having been told numerous amount of times widebodies can safely operate out of LBA I dont see what's the issue. Fully laden.. a Emirates A380 out of MAN is not full laden, a TUI B787 to Orlando is not fully laden, chances are we wont have/need airlines operating fully laden widebodies.
