One to add to the Wishlist or one we'd rather avoid?

I’m concerned about the product - All the sources I’ve seen state that their A321neo are going to be 240 seaters - will they even have premium economy?

I’m not expecting them to do a JetBlue type premium cabin but one would hope for a change from the ULCC way of doing things.

The same capacity as what Wizz Air are putting on theirs.

The main difference is that Wizz are looking at going East - Middle East, near Asia - where there is relatively less competition.

Low Cost TATL has always struggled. Even Norwegian had premium economy and I think the only route of theirs that was profitable was LGW - JFK. There's just so much competition and its one of, if not the most premium markets in the world (TATL generally that is).

No Idea if its true, but rumours that Hans Airways have gone into administration? 😱😢

as per @seanm1997 post on twitter:-

Based on news I heard earlier today as well as this, things are not looking good for Hans Airways Hopefully all staff will be okay during this time

as per @SPD_travels post on twitter:-

Hearing unconfirmed reports that start up airline Hans Airways May have already gone into administration. I stress again these are unconfirmed reports but gaining an AOC isn’t cheap these days and with having no other means of income may have taken its toll.

Might explain why there A330 is still sitting around Aren't they still recruiting

Hi Ian. I'm confused as to what you are saying is 'NOT true'. The whole administration thing or that Hans are still recruiting?
Also, it's very, very bad for any business to have negative speculation posted about them. This can lead to a massive drop in sales, which could lead to the demise of said business. So, can members please avoid posting negative rumours regarding airlines/airports unless there is official confirmation.

I cannot say too much but as at tonight Hans are still alive and kicking and close to getting their AOC - this isn't cheap.
They cannot sell tickets until they have got that AOC and also a permit to fly to India.
So as it stands no AOC quite yet so no ticket sales.

Thanks for the clarification, Ian. My comments regarding speculation were not directed at yourself, but rather the wider F4A membership.
I believe that Hans Airways were hoping to make their aircraft available for charter between gaining their AOC and getting a permit to fly to India. A shame they couldn't get the AOC earlier in the year, as it could have been quite lucrative with TUI's problems.

That is all correct Kevin and that is still the plan.

I wish them well but it's pretty obvious they will have a very tough time even if they get off the ground, it's the wrong time world wide to launch a single aircraft airline, almost crazy, I would say , hope I'm wrong but like Flybe reckon both destined for the dustbin ....they also a shambles wrong times sadly world economy is not good

This is NOT true
The A330 is parked up at Birmingham though I don't know about the Recruiting But Yes I googled Hans And found they haven't mentioned anything about Adminstration It was late at night but confirmed by yourself not to be true. I might be wrong about the A330 on there Twitter they have a picture of an A330 in their livery has this been painted into the livery yet

There A332 G-KJAS has been parked on the the remotes over at the terminal for weeks ever since it did its flights flown I believe by their own crew as part of obtaining their AOC which hopefully is not far away enabling them to start earning some revenue with charters.

The aircraft is currently a white tail.

They appear to be going about the process in the proper manner by Kevin they will still need to obtain a permit to operate scheduled flights to India

This is not a rumour or speculation.

Ruchir Verma resigned as chairman of Hans Airways on October 26th this information was registered with Companies House as required by company law on the 27th of October by Hans and therefore is now in the public domain via the governments Companies House website.

What or anything this means for the airline I don't know.

Almost doesn't matter if they actually are or not - now that the media are reporting it, that will impact any public confidence for the company.

I wouldn’t expect Hans to give a running commentary, or update potential customers waiting news by giving out possible commercially sensitive details as to where they stand at the moment. There is nothing to soothe the nerves on their website, but rumours only abound in these situations. We know social media can wreck reputations. If left too late the consensus may be ‘ better go with AI just in case’. With AI starting to raise their game and AI apparently requesting slots at MAN (via SPDTravel on Twitter), things look tough. Slot requests are common and don’t always occur, but shows intention.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
