Vueling Flights, New Routes & Schedule Updates

By all means @Brum X

Only posted it in here because I remember BHX frequency being reduced. Have any other UK airports seen frequencies to ORY reduced?
A 321 is a big plane to fill from BHX to Prly a 320 would have been better but theu have none bases at Orly.
However I believe BHX figures on the route are now holding up.

I will pop this snippet of information in the main Vueling thread Coathanger as other forumers from other airports might be interested.

Is that correct mods, was I listening last month when this was discussed to be the best way forward ?
Yes, it's very much appreciated if information is posted in the most relevant thread (this is something that Aviador is very keen on). It could also be posted in another thread, but we are trying to avoid too much duplication (so please, if info regards an airline with many bases e.g. Jet2, don't post in every airport thread that they operate from). We are aware that thread drift is going to occur (it's inevitable), but if you know that your reply is going to be off topic, it's very easy to use the '+MultiQuote' option to quote and reply to a post in a different thread. All of the above, will help keep the forum neat, tidy and easily navigable, with the information is the most appropriate thread.

Pleased that Paris Orly will continue and BHX passengers have a choice of which Paris airport they can fly into. ;-)
We flew VY to Barcelona 2 weeks ago from BHX.Both flts over 85% full .Was surprised how many Spanish, French and US passengers were on them and a fair number transiting through Barcelona.

I also flew with Vueling from BHX to BCN a few years ago before the pandemic to spend the day plane spotting, I even had a paddle in the sea. It is one of the best airports to plane spot and soak up that Mediterranean sun ;-)

I still can't belieave how long this video is, loooooooooooooool. It was also before i got my go-pro and captured everything on my iphone and camera at the time. It is so amateur, ha

This video takes me back ;-) You even get some uplifting music to get you in the mood, he he he he he

This could be a chance for Play to start daily flights.Massive opportunity
I don't understand why you think that Play would be interested in flying between BHX and ORY. It doesn't fit their business model. Apart from a few flights from KEF to Mediterranean sun spots, their main focus is on linking European cities with US ones, via their base in KEF.

I meant this could be an opportunity for PLAY to start flights from Reykjavik to Birmingham.Vueling might have given slots over to PLAY

Does anyone know how loads are on the Vueling Paris Orly service?.
Maybe they feel demand is not there through winter.
Future competition from EasyJet perhaps having an influence?.

PLAY have their own BHX slots that they have applied for as of recent.

There is no connection between Vueling and PLAY I am not sure what you mean?

Average Load factors so far this year have been:

January: 60%
February: 75%
March: 75%
April: 59%
May: 65%

Rather alarmingly though is that over the period January to May, 9 flights out of a planned 63 were cancelled or 14%.

With easyJet starting CDG, if we lose Vueling the capacity basically switches from ORY to CDG. Once EZY get up to daily, it almost doubles the capacity Veuling were offering, so even without Vueling capacity will still be up overall.

remember Easy fly both Orly and CDG so either are possible both with European based aircrft

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
