Don't worry @Statto not everyone does get me and I fully understand that. I was getting at the fact the Ryanair timing of this seems to mean they are after Jet2 as well now, after previously going after Wizz. Personally I have no problem with that as it should keep everyone on their toes

No worries.
Agadir is quite a way from Marrakesh - about 3 hours by road - so personally don’t think this is a case of them trying to rain on Jet2’s parade. Also Ryanair have been present at both Agadir and Marrakesh for some time, so if anything it’s Jet2 who are stepping in to their market

Interesting that LH are to cease/suspend their LPL-FRA service in early 24 citing lack of aircraft but equally saying it hasn't been so economically viable in recent months. Also suggested the route will be reinstated asap. So depending on whether you are an optimist or a pessimist what chances does this give LBA of getting an LH FRA service any time soon I wonder

Not unless German Airways can give them a nod on where to find us

I've not heard that regarding viability, purely an aircraft issue LPL - FRA according LPL management. The route has been growing strongly load factors around 80 %.There is talk it will return next autumn. I wouldn't think they would look at LBA until they have reinstated routes and frequency drops. I would say Lufthansa has handled this badly however.

Perhaps you’ve missed this? This is from the airline itself:

Lufthansa is continuously evaluating and optimizing its entire route network. Due to unscheduled maintenance work on Pratt & Whitney engines in the Lufthansa Airbus A320neo fleet, Lufthansa Airlines will have significantly fewer aircraft available next year 2024 than originally planned. The company has therefore decided to suspend some routes from February 2024 that have not shown a positive economic development in recent months. One of the route that is affected by this suspension is Frankfurt - Liverpool. Lufthansa regrets this decision.
The cancellations will be published in the reservation systems on December 19, 2023 and passengers affected by cancellations will be informed and rebooked on alternative flights

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
