Picked my son up from Man late Weds night. After a 2 hour plus delay from Zante to Manchester it was a further 70 minutes before they came through arrivals because of a lack of buses to the remote stands
(NB: £20 for 65 minutes in the short stay car park!)

Was that a diversion or did he choose to fly to MAN?

No he (and 12 others) chose Manchester.
We’re not far from Sowerby Bridge so, especially given cheaper prices, the travel is pretty much the same.
They got on the plane early - before being told of the delay!
So if Man staff are struggling to service their own planes late at night, it’s understandable if there is a reluctance by either party to divert there

G-GDFO(Channex 38JD) operating LBA to Split this morning, started sqwarking 7700(Emergency) when near Doncaster and diverted to Manchester. I understand it landed on one engine.

Took G-JZHK for rest of journey and landed Split 2h10 late. Not bad really, but Jet2 having another bout of tech issues - G-LSAK had hydraulic issues and towed off runway at Manchester on Friday.

Hydraulic issues do seem fairly common on most aircraft, suspect it’s all the pipes, flexible hoses, connectors, and seals that are vulnerable and lead to leaks.

Yeah it’s arrived but shows it from Beirut. Its actually from Larnaca I believe it does that due to jamming in the area.

Another annoying thing FR-24 keeps doing is showing Jet2 738 G-JZBT as a Vans RV12 G-CMLL

Jet2 Boeing 737-800, G-JZBH operating this mornings EXS25J service from Leeds to Tenerife South has diverted to Las Palmas (Gran Canary) after an aborted landing due to windsheer.
