Use this prefix for new threads for Cardiff Airport
Good to see no reductions in frequency. Fingers crossed we'll get some flights from them at a later date and hopefully a new route!🤞
Also I think it's good its all been loaded at the same time.

Same is good. As above hopefully additional flights will be announced - Edinburgh, Paris and Rome would be perfect - but presume Majorca is on the hitlist?

Pretty much guaranteed that Majorca is number 1 destination on the list to get back. Paris could be an interesting one. Ryanair do seem to make Beauvais work as their airport for Paris, though its more equivalent to flying to Southend for London there is a pretty good coach connection to Paris and its good access for other parts of northern France. It is a basic airport but functional, its more a regional airport than a major hub.

Hopefully some more extras to come … Either that or FR are waiting for the WG package to come through !

EXT has picked up a 4th weekly flight to ALC, ahead of the others …So reading between the lines, EXT is higher up the pecking order than CWL and others (Although there’s no competition at EXT unlike CWL who of course have VY and TUI on the route).

I’m quite pleased to see no reduction in any routes on S24, so I can only assume that we might see one new route. Worst case scenario is no growth.

Is it just me or do Ryanair only ever seem set on flying 13 flights per week from Cardiff.

Before Covid FR were operating aound 10 flights a week, so agreed they seem pretty stagnant.
The routes before Covid were FAO, AGP, TFS, BCN & MLA with the latter two not returning since.

Many people from South Wales don't bother to look at CWL for flights, they seem fixated on BRS because of choice, especially the younger generation. They can't get better than a daily service to Alicante from their local airport CWL.

Of course, they used to operate BAC1-11s years ago from CWL to DUB, for those of you who remember. Let's hope at this 10 year anniversary they will operate more flights next year 🤞

I’d like to think we see at least one new route announced in December. As for their previous life on the DUB route, imagine if they had set up a base back then. The airport could be in such a different position. No one has a crystal ball though!

Fingers crossed, it would be great to see them launch Mallorca or even return with Malta or Barcelona.

I see Ryanair have released some new routes from Aberdeen, Glasgow and Bournemouth. Fingers crossed we'll see something for Cardiff!

Do we think this is essentially it now for Summer 2025? There was some hope of them launching Palma de Mallorca but I'd have thought if they were going to they'd have done it by now.

Im not sure. There’s still a little time. I think it was this time last year they announced ALC and TFS.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
