I’ve heard and seen on the app that Dublin Thursday and Saturdays are being added for the summer. Crucially the Saturday looks like a 9am departure which should perform much better than last summer. Thursday is 7:55 from Cardiff.

Almost back to a daily service!

What a route like DUB needs 🙌

It also means that CWL will see 15 weekly departures from Ryanair.

Would you think there is appetite to develop further? Thinking maybe Paris, Glasgow and Edinburgh initially?

It would be a great boost for the airport, with very little competition, but would it mean FR having to set up a CWL base first?

I’d imagine FR will likely stay away from any new domestic flights given that APD (not just on domestic flying) is going up for the next two Aprils - and Michael O’Leary quite recently, post-budget, having spoken publicly about it rather negatively.

But then what he says and what he does are often two different games!

🙈

I'd expect that any future routes would be sun routes rather than pure city routes. Ie a route like Barcelona.

Whats up with Saturday AGP? Sitting on stand for 4 hours?? Seems odd for FR

There’s a 2:15 gap for Dublin on a Saturday. Seems excessive considering Ryanair’s 25 minute turnaround. It doesn’t seem long enough to fit in a route in between, but surely they wouldn’t have it sat on the stand for all that time?

It could be slot restrictions at Dublin. Might change at a later date.

FR are adding a 4th weekly flight to AGP from June to late September. Surely the most seats ever available with them from CWL.

For 2025 Ryanair will 205254 seats on sale currently (Not including any Winter flights that aren't on sale yet, and based on 737-800 189Y, not Max)

A snippet of what's on offer from FR & VY this year.

That's really good news, let's hope FR expand the winter offering. After several months work, TUI and FR have sorted out the difficulties between their computer systems, which were not compatible with each other, although I haven't checked the Faro flights from CWL yet. FR are now shown on TUI website as operating the Faro flights from CWL.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
