Im more worried about the load factor.Only 24 on board! And we're crew included in that total I wonder?
Glad all ended well though but hope this isn't the start of another season of 733 issues

Indeed, that was my initial reaction. But that said we have to be thankful for a safe conclusion.Im more worried about the load factor.
In the days of Inter European the 737-300 was a regular on the route.Looking on flightradar24 it looks like Jet2 are sending Boeing 737-300, G-GDFL down to Tenerife this afternoon on the LS223 service
That’s going to be fun getting off runway 14 with it been warm again today. especially with full pax, baggage & fuel load.
And to Larnaca and Paphos. In the days of Inter European the 737-300 was a regular on the route.
As was Air Europe from MAN.In the days of Inter European the 737-300 was a regular on the route.
Air con off on take off then!Looking on flightradar24 it looks like Jet2 are sending Boeing 737-300, G-GDFL down to Tenerife this afternoon on the LS223 service

Yes and as we said the 737-300 was regularly used on the longer sectors both by Air Foyle (Sunseekers) and by Inter European (Aspro). The 300s have done the Canaries quite a few times over the years, so not sure why there's any surprise. It's not a hot calm day. It's warm but with a gusty wind.
They will have been compensated for the delay but not for the overbooking as in the end they used an -800 it would have been overbooked had they used the -300 back to LBAIm sure Jet2 compensated them.

Me as I saw the bag and pax numbersAnd who knows if it was overbooked in the first place? If it was under 148 then Jet2 are in for a winner. No delay or minimal to the flight and use spare resources available to them.
Can I ask the inevitable question? How does this compare with winter 25/26?Winter Sun 26/27 program released.

Jet2s ad says its their biggest ever, with city breaks and ski still to be launched. Whether that's more flights, or more seats due to some larger aircraft remains to be seen. Can I ask the inevitable question? How does this compare with winter 25/26?
Yes 'biggest ever' is hard to quantify.Jet2s ad says its their biggest ever, with city breaks and ski still to be launched. Whether that's more flights, or more seats due to some larger aircraft remains to be seen.
