Hi all,

Got a rare few hours in the Manchester region tomorrow and planning to stop off at the viewing park.

Are there any interesting movements planned for tomorrow - what are the busiest times for normal operations?

Thanks.

Does anybody know the outcome of the airport/union talks last with with regards to possible strike action?

Sorry if it's already been posted.

I see the road system, from what I can see on the Manchester side of the 4M Building is locked up, so the airport spur and the area in front of Voyager. Lots of taxis, a few with Unite flags!

Seemingly, after the police started re-directing taxis down the M56 spur away from the airport the taxis are now doing a slow moving roadblock down the M56 spur!

Netflights don't really tell you how they measure the 'family friendliness' of the airport. That is while you can see the categories, you can't tell how they get a score. Further, at least some of their information is just wrong. I will say that MAN leaves quite a bit to be desired. For instance, while MAN charges £5 for fast track if you have a pram or happen to be carrying the child they send you to the assistance lane. The lines are almost always shorter, though don't move any faster.

On a side note, does the children's play area in T2 no-longer exist. Did it go with the start of the TP?

edit: Found the ref for the on-time performance

I think it has, that was up around the Costa Coffee or similar?
The new wall is immediately after the Frankie & Bennies and Customer Info desk if i'm not wrong!

Just to throw my two penneth in, personally never had huge issues using Manchester for as long as I can remember. Yes, security staff could be more cheerful but, I wouldn't pin that on MAG myself. Saying that, my user experiences are based on using T2 and T3 predominately, but have used both terminals at peak and off peak times and not experienced anything utterly catastrophic!

Perhaps I've just been lucky so far!

This is correct, you have Frankie & Bennys, toliets, the info desk and then the big wall.

There is a headline in The Daily Gloom (express) reporting a fire and terminal 3 evacuated last night.

Interesting thread on airliners.net about Denver hitting 200 destinations. Someone's done a list of the top 25 in the world for destinations... and the shock result is that MAN currently resides in 12th place with 218 destinations. 21 routes are at least 3 daily (24th place), 53 at least daily (16th place), 104 at least 1 weekly (7th place!)

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
