Little news here for a while. The ISB flights seem to have stopped ? Which could indicate why perhaps, I haven’t seen JY-JVB for a while. At least on the BHX booking site there seem to be no flights available until 26 March 2023, then at 4 a week. The TK flights do of course now share a PK flight no. and the Jordan Aviation machine as been in IST a lot over the past week.

Yes the Jordan Aviation flights have now finished for Pakistan, with passengers now being booked on the Turkish flights via Istanbul. Just have to wait and see if or when PIA get permission to re-start European & UK flights again, most likely next summer now.

Might possibly be lifted in 2024 but it may change

updated on PIA:-

Resumption of PIA’s flight operations to Europe have become brighter as a British Aviation Authority team has reached Pakistan on its nine-day tour, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The team is led by head of State Safety Captain Malcolm Rusby.

The UK safety team will complete its audit work by February 16. The British team has started auditing of the Lights Department. The team will conduct a complete audit of the Civil Aviation Authority. It includes CAA’s flight standards, Safety Management System, Air Worthiness and other departments.

The British team after completing audit of Civil Aviation Authority, will also conduct a comprehensive audit of the PIA.

After audit of the British team, European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) will pay visit to Pakistan.

The EASA delegation will arrive in Pakistan on March 7. After complete and successful audit of EASA, the resumption of PIA’s flight operations could be allowed.

For pilots’ examinations, the CAA has introduced British civil aviation system.

Not certain what the "Lights Department" is!! :ROFLMAO: Although PIA appear to be leasing out their Heathrow slots this summer, so no idea if we will see them again in the UK this year! guess only time will tell! :X3:

Dont be surprised if we see Jordan again at BHX

I have read that when PIA resume they will only serve CDG, LHR and MAN. Whether that is just for the short term is not clear.

Thought PIA was only going to work with airlines that had several aircraft available, Jordan have 2 but
only 1 is in service

In the early days of the Jordanian Aviation flights, there were often last minute changes to the days of operation. I believe this was due to slot requests? It resulted in what can only be described as an ad-hoc programme with no regular weekly schedule.

I'm sure this has driven some of the traffic to Emirates, Turkish etc as even though it's primarily a VFR market, people still want to travel on the day. So, if they do return they should stick to a timetable.

Its likely we see Jordan back again operating on PIAs behalf for a couple of months until they get things started again , I would assume once Turkish finishes their codeshare contract then another will be signed. Could see Jordan back at BHX by the start of April or maybe even earlier. I guess time will tell.

According to CH-Aviation, PIA were hoping to have a new leasing contract in place to restart flights in December to replace Jordan Aviation. It was to operate ISB-CDG,ISB-LHR,ISB-MAN and LHE-MAN.

If the TK codeshare was to replace direct services, why do the timings at IST of PK’s flights require an overnight stay inbound and outbound in IST, except for connections to/from LHR?

Jordan are looking to restart BHX as the PIA deal with Turkish is ending

That’s because Turkish and PIA codeshares didn’t include their slots. Only LHRs slots were given from PIA to TK for the codeshare deal

Yes the LHR flights involved extra flights whereas MAN involves a lot of upgrades but BHX I`m not sure what other a few A330s

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
