Hopefully it is just tinkering with the systems but i was just having a look at the schedule and at the moment there are no flights bookable on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday, only Friday/Saturday/Sunday are bookable for S19

However it is the same from EDI/CWL as well

Earlier this year the Qatar website showed CWL-DOH being reduced to something like 3 x weekly this winter but it turned out to be a glitch and within a day or so the website showed the proper schedule.

How has Qatar been doing recently out of BHX?

I notice up at Edinburgh, Qatar have averaged ~12% growth for the past 6 months, with both October & November seeing more than 20% growth due to the B787-8 being upgraded to the A350-900. Any rumours as to whether BHX will see an aircraft or frequency upgrade in 2019?

BHX loads are average and don't warrant an upgrade at the moment
November was 8,633 so 144 pax per flight, so less than 60% full.
As you say EDI is now up to over 10k in Nov 18 against 8.6k in Nov 17 due an upgrade to A359
So you never know !

Qatar expanding UK flights by additional 17 flights per week for this Summer but no expansion for Birmingham.
Cardiff going daily, Manchester to 3 daily, London Gatwick 3 daily and Edinburgh 10 per week

It was daily last year from 18th June to October. It starts at the beginng of June this year last I checked.

I suspect that some of the traffic now using Cardiff service, would have gone to Birmingham which is why the numbers on our route arent that great , based on those published ( December - 5% , November +8% , October -13%, September -8% ). Dont know if January shows same pattern
Heathrow route also having bad time with maybe pax normally willing to travel to LHR, although that could be due to other factors
Cardiff possibly therefore had a decent starting point which is a loss to the BHX route. Qatar (assuming yields are OK) don't lose much, if anything, overall

OK Ian wow for many years that used to be cry about London they always used to vastly cheaper.

Yes sorry, MAN was cheaper. It had a little to do with timings too if I'm being fair. Still, I'm excited to be trying Qatar for the first time and my journeys involve the 787 and A350, both of which I've never flown on.

The way things have been going lately I think keeping them at a daily 787 would be an achievement in itself.
