I suppose to an extent so they maintain some sort of option for customers from Birmingham and I suppose some passengers would be willing to travel for Qatar. But let's face it, the service didn't have the highest load factor from BHX so I think most passengers will just go via other hubs. I think Emirates will be a large beneficiary of their exit. I suppose it leaves the door ajar for a return in the future, when demand picks up.Is that probably the reason behind offering a train ticket? Just seems strange not to offer Cardiff passengers the same
