The Ethiopian Dash 8s are now reported as going to Dublin, the assumption being that they will go direct to Rome from there. All very strange - if it was a problem with MAN specifically I can’t see that they would have sat at Keflavik for 4 days before executing plan B, however if as has been suggested it is some sort of transponder issue I don’t see why there wouldn’t be a problem with Ireland, France and Italy as we all come under EASA rules still.

Just a thought ... perhaps they're able to have compatible radios retrofitted by one of the aerospace companies at DUB? Could be granted an exemption to land there on that basis if so. Of course, that is just a theory and could be totally wrong.

Aircraft were only on the ground at Dublin for Fuel and Go so I doubt if new radios were fitted. They then departed Dublin and few over South Wales on their way to Rome......

Hi everyone.

Tuesday 3d November Arr 1200 dep 1500 to Istanbul I presume for the red flops to play Basakshier in UCL Aeroflot A350-900.

They’ve hardly been “red flops” so far in the Champions league...meanwhile back in the aviation world...

Virgin A350-1000 G-VRNB pinging on the ground on FR24 as VS851P going to LHR

TK 3233 is also due around 1.15pm?

Cyprus Airways should be back tomorrow (and 21st December). Arrives 1240, departs 1340. MAN arrivals has it down with no flight code but just the flight number

Not a movement in but one that's gone out. QTR3174 A7-BCE just left after going tech on 28th December

Info | An old friend of MAN makes a return in a very different format tomorrow. Former Thomas Cook A321 G-DHJH operates as a freighter in form of the new A321 P2F for Titan. Arrives from STN 1500 departs 1730 to BTS

Another movement, yesterday, was Sprintair ATR-72-202 (SP-SPH) which arrived from Cologne and appears - according to FR24 - to still be on the ground.

Not an arrival but a nice overflight just went over me DHC8-400 C-C-GJQE which is destined for the Securité Civile. Callsign FGD177 which relates to Conair of Canada

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
