or the fact that there wasn't any sort of fence between the spectator area and the apron
I dread the day they consider acquiring an Airbus or Boeing as this may signal an over reach of activities....your thoughts please....!!
I recall the days of Birmingham Executive Airways with their Jetstream 31's which became British European and to this day's Flybe, steadily growing yet remains within the Continent of Europe, the reason for existence.

FlyBe were British European for a while, before that Jersey European,
You are quite correct about Flybe's lineage, Barry. The first aircraft they used into BHX was the Embraer Bandeirante.I think you're mixing your concepts guys, FlyBe were British European for a while, before that Jersey European, using F27s (they still use the callsign "Jersey" now, I think) - not to be confused with Brum's own Birmingham European (with J31s then F50s) who eventually wound up as part of Maersk, using ex-BA 1-11-400s.
I think!
The SAAB 340 was very problematic for Birmingham Executive. I think they operated it for less than 12 months and returned it to SAAB, due to poor reliability. Can't remember the SF-340 for the life of me! The Fokker 50s though, OY-MMU/V, remember them like it was yesterday!
Why does my brain keep hold of this stuff?![]()
