I would not be surprised if we copped for it after last night's TV show. Didn't portray Ryanair in a very good light.
The thing is - at least they didn't cancel. They could of just canned the IBZ flight in reality.

We were told at the last AGM last September, that costs were rising and seat income falling and that too few customers were chasing far too many routes and that the company would have to cut deeply its route net work and look at the number of bases.Looks like Ryanair are to cut some unprofitable routes and close some bases very shortly due to the on going Boeing 737-MAX issues and delayed deliveries.

Ryanair to close some bases due to Boeing delays
Ryanair has warned it may have to cut and close bases at airports from November until next summer as it said delays to Boeing's B737 MAX aircraft would hit growth rates.www.rte.ie
Let's just hope LBA bases comes out unscathed.
Had a tech problem on initial push back so went back on stand to get assistanceDoes anybody know why FR2503 set off back to Faro nearly an hour late especially as it landed 30 mins ahead of schedule this morning as FR2504?
As I recall, Glasgow lost its Ryanair base last year when they opted to base aircraft only at Edinburgh and Prestwick, so if they axe routes out of Glasgow, there will be very little in the way of a Ryanair presence there at all.I'm not confirming that Leeds base is safe,
But it looks like Ryanair's bases at Belfast Int'l, Glasgow and Edinburgh might take the brunt of the route cuts that MOL spoke about earlier this month due to the late delivery's of its Boeing 737-MAX and the #Brexit effect making these bases the least profitable.

Ryanair may cut Belfast route in no-deal Brexit
Ryanair would likely cut back its Glasgow, Edinburgh and Belfast routes in the event of a no-deal Brexit, according to chief executive Michael O'Leary.www.rte.ie
On a separate note - does anyone know if Boeing have stopped production now of the 737 800 series in order to concentrate entirely on the MAX variants, or is the 800 still available? If production has stopped then I imagine that Jet2 would have got a very good deal indeed when buying a large number of the last of the type to be built. Seems to me that perhaps Boeing should make the 800 available again, given it is proven and reliable. The MAX and it's continued problems are going to cause mayhem in the aviation industry, threatening jobs, bases, routes and airports alike.
I imagine that's notice to the airport CEOs to get the cheque book out!I hope MOL's interview on TV just now won't mean any job losses or routes cuts from LBA....Ryanair are to cut jobs from UK bases.
LBA-FAO will be affected but only with Faro based equipment which I think they all are this time of year.
