That is what i was thinking. Very tight turn around times though i suspect the crew ill be doing a 4 sector day for POZ and ALC flights.

Not sure what i make of the FAO flight times tbh. Little bit sh*t. I wish them well, but if that aircraft goes tech somewhere down route or diverts i suspect they'll start upsetting customers with cancellations etc.
To be fair, the turn around times on most days add up to 85-90 minutes (2x 45 minute turnarounds in DSA or a 55 & 30 minute turnaround).
This is identical to both Ryanair and easyJet.
For example the average turnaround times for Ryanair at LBA last summer added up to 70 minutes and at BHX 75 minutes.

Im sure Wizz know what they are doing with these respects.

They certainly know what they are doing probably like most if not all airlines they seem to "pad out" published flight times so to appear to arrive early and improve their on time performance which then potentially gives them a little extra time on the turn round and maintain departure times but obviously a one aircraft base has it dangers in the event of a technical problem.

The Canary Islands were to be expected it will be interesting to see how the non sun routes go Eindhoven and Lisbon those sort of routes will be the key for how far Wizz go with this DSA base success on those routes will equal more routes to destination's I honestly didn't expect tot see at DSA not so successful it will hamper how far Wizz can grow.

Hopefully the Wizz and TUI models complement each other nicely on the sun routes and the airport can see a nice increase in passenger numbers when all this Covid settles down.

Eindhoven is essentially Amsterdam, I'm told it's not that far by road. Lisbon is the interesting one! It'll be interesting to see if that sticks!

It's not quite as close as that...
AMS into central Amsterdam is 23mins by road and 13mins by train.
EIN into central Amsterdam is 1hr 30mins by road and 2 hours by train.

Eindhoven however is a well positioned airport with a number of major cities within a 1hr 30 drive - Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Liege, Brussels & Antwerp.
It handles nearly 7 million passengers per year, and is a large Transavia base, along with being a focus city for Ryanair and Wizz. Hopefully it will be a success!

Great to hear Wizz is confident to add the second aircraft so quickly . Lisbon is a good addition to have.

Good PR for the airport and Wizz though, oh by the way we are basing 3-4-5 aircraft but we will tell you one by one:)
Wizz have updated now and it looks like it'll be 2 but there's a gap i think on some days in the morning so maybe more frequency for 1 or 2 routes?

I was reading that WIZZ's 239-seat A321neo aircraft will create 10% cost advantage over Ryanair's 197-seat 737 Max's (whenever they actually start flying), making them the lowest cost operator in Europe. Analysts are also foresting that WIZZ will emerge a clear winner from the COVID-19 pandemic and says it has more than a decade of structural growth still ahead

This should bode well for Doncaster, Luton and Liverpool etc .

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
