Envelope A333 shown due in today at 11.30am as per Ian's site. It was showing originally due yesterday so hopefully it turns up today.

Its good to see STS getting a few aircraft in of late.

BHX part of the forum a bit quiet lately unlike STS who seem to be going from strength to strength, currently there are the following in for maintenance etc

A333 Smart Lynx
A333 ALF Flight Services
A321 AVN in Tommy Cooks Club colours

Also the RAFs first 737 Wedgetail in for modification/conversion first of five or is it seven undergoing work

Good to see with variety being the spice of life and all that.

I may have suggested previously that Airbus design aircraft with an element of elegance and aesthetics about them, the French influence perhaps? Compare and contrast Boeing to Airbus. Or Tesco house red to a MALBEC!!

Well when you have been on the Queen of the skies and the Britannia 767's and of course the flying Pencil Boeing 757, sorry did somebody say Airbus, they must be from that planet far far away in the distance

Lol

I love the A330 (I flew Emirates BHX - DXB and back). I was seated near the back where the floor rises slightly, giving a view over the headrests ahead. Also, on the return flight we were still at 40000ft over Northampton. We then went into a steep descent with the spoilers fully deployed. I could feel the aircraft shaking (I can only assume the pilot was expecting a R15 approach and this changed to R33).
But, the best has to be the A380. It's so quiet inside at take off. And so smooth in flight.

Ah the 757, now you're talking. What an aircraft (y)

I was lucky enough to get a Wamos 747-400 from LPA back to BHX when there were issues with the MAX, it's a flight that I will not ever forget.

Never got to go on a 767 :(

I've flown on Emirates A330, 772, A343 and A345 but not the A380 yet. I really hope that they come back to BHX one day.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
