I truly hope LBA can work away in the background and keep things calm and build a great reputation not by throwing bricks at MAN in its current crisis but doing things well enough to keep the adverse press at bay and that may just be the key to gaining more airline confidence and gaining more routes. Fingers crossed things do not go wrong over at Easter!

They are still recruiting more staff, and training up those already recruited, but it takes weeks to train them and get the security checks done on the prospective employees.
For once, the constraints of the LBA terminal may work in its favour, as it forces people to queue in an orderly fashion. The attitude and good humour if supervising security staff helps stop people from getting stressed and regular announcements would help too. No doubt the airport police will also be getting involved and ensuring that queuing is orderly and doesn't degenerate into a chaotic situation.

Maybe some entertainers to keep the kids happy would be a good idea.

They broke up last week in Otley so I assume all Leeds schools are closed for next 2 weeks.
Ah ok. My neighbour is a teacher but in Menston, so Bradford Council and she is still working this week. Normally I would know as my daughter teaches in Otley, but is off on maternity leave.
I doubt though that at LBA there is even room for a children's entertainer. I can't see Happy the Clown going down too well somehow!

A thought could be limiting the number going security at once - so for example they scan 50 people through and pause for 5 minutes allowing those 50 to get through before allowing another 50 through. Yes your limiting the amount through, but it makes it easier to handle with the limited resource available.

Recovery of Business routes? Last week I flew LBA -BSL via AMS:
LBA-AMS EMB175 88pax full
AMS - BSL EMB175 88pax full
BSL - AMS EMB175 88pax Full
AMS - LBA EMB190 84pax Should have been EMB175 but I assume there was a bigger load the following morning to AMS.
I know that this is a very small statistical sample but this was the second week of 3 fights/day so there are signs of recovery with business travel.

Going to Dublin a week on Monday it says on my boarding pass upload covid documentation
I thought you didn’t require any for Dublin.
can anyone shed some light on the subject

Arrived at LBA at just after 4 this morning. Busy but orderly. Jet2 check in was very swift and then had fast track booked which worked fine. We were through by 0430. There were 3 scanners open with 1 for manly fast track. There were no hysterics and the queues were moving!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
