I see we had Emirates Fifa World Cup Brazil 773 A6-CEV this morning with the world cup towards the front and Pele above the wings.

On my visit to BHX today, i saw a Jetairfly E195 operating a charter from Seville, nice to see.

The BHX arrivals page is showing flights CTM1080 and PVT1111 from Bordeaux due at 16:30 tomorrow (13th). I've done some searches but cannot find an airline for 'PVT' but CTM seems to be Commandement Du Transport Aerien Militaire Francais, which is French Military Airlift Command and the flight number are as follows:

COTAM 0001 : President of the Republic .
COTAM 0002 : Prime Minister .
COTAM 0003: Minister of Defence .
COTAM 0004-0009: High ministerial authorities.
COTAM 0010-0099: High state authorities.

According to Wikipedia they have 3x A310's and 1x A330 in the VIP config. so it'll be interesting to see what turns up.

According to the movements blog the French aircraft was A340-200 F-RAJB which was due at 16:05, I don't know if it arrived as I've only just got home. The ETD is 18:00.

The French Air force A340 landed at 16:08, as far as I'm aware the ETD is still 18:00 but it could change.

Does anybody know the reason why it was the French Air Force or was it just charted out ??

Very Interesting

Apparently it was originally destined for LHR but was then changed to BHX, I don't know why yet but am trying to find out.

Hi Fly A321 CS-TRJ is about to land to operate the charters to Germany, it's arriving from Brussels and I think is in the Belgian Air Force livery.

Hi,

Anyone know the serial of the Fr AF A340 that arrived at Birmingham on Friday afternoon (13-06-14)?

Cheers

The French Air Force A340 was in to collect the band of the foreign legion who had been playing on Horse Guards Parade in London.

A Spitfire is due to perform a flypast along the runway at around 19:40 this evening.

Subject to change of course.

Further to the above post, the RAF A330 was on a Medevac flight from Iceland.
It departed shortly afterwards.

Another Alitalia A320 is due at 21:20, this time from Rome as AZ 8698, the aircraft should be EI-IKG.

The BHX arrivals page is showing TAP flight TP9460 from Lisbon due 08:30 tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
