This afternoons Turkish flight is operated by 738 TC-JFH which is in the Star Alliance livery, due at 15:30.

The ABX B767 arrived at 10:51.I managed to see it on my way past the airport at just after 1pm.
It is N747AX and a first visit. It is in a rather boring all white livery.
Anyone know what time it is due out and where it will be going?

A SmartLynx Airlines A320 arrived last night to do the MOD flights previously operated by Hamburg Airlines. I'm not 100% sure but I think it will also do the weekend flights that were previously operated by Hi Fly.

I notice Thomson had a flight to/From Hanover today, I assume it's an MOD flight?

Monarch 757 G-MONJ departed around 13:35 on her final journey to Kemble

There is an Aer LingusRegional/Stobart Air ATR72 currently diverting to BHX from Cork/MAN.I believe this is due fog at MAN.

Yeah it was quite bad apparently. There Saudia had to divert to LHR, would of been nice to see that divert to BHX but i suppose as they have no aggreement with BHX, LHR is there divert airport.

Click the link for a photo of Lufthansas new A321 which was at BHX this morning, it was only delivered four days ago. Air France A321 F-GTAV also operated this morning.

You can tell its brand new, just like when you buy a new car, is it me as well or is that A321 a bit longer than usual ??????

The West Atlantic 767 is back out the hangar and now wears their colour scheme.

I saw Air Explore 738 OM-FEX arrive this afternoon, apparently it'll now be doing the MOD flights.

There are three charters on the arrivals page for tomorrow, two from VLM and one from HOP!.

Paris-CDG Vlm Airlines VG 9621 12:00

Toulouse Vlm Airlines VG 9619 12:00

Lyon Hop! A5 9020 12:50

Also Enter Air are operating Northern Lights flights with one departing tomorrow at 10am to Kiruna. The aircraft positioned in from BRS earlier today.

Ive just read that Thomsons latest B787 G-TUIG will be ferried to bhx tomorrow leaving man at 06:00 as TOM9015P Thanks to ms2 for the info

Thanks for the info. I assume it'll be operating tomorrows flight to Barbados? The weather's supposed to be nice Sunday so I might try and get down for a photo when it returns.

A full list of yesterdays diverts:

D-AIZU Lufthansa A320 FRA - MAN
D-AIDQ Lufthansa A321 FRA-MAN
G-FBJC FlyBe E175 CDG - MAN
OH-LKK Finnair E190 HEL - MAN
OO-SSK Brussels A319 BRU - MAN
TC-JPM Turkish A320 IST - MAN
EI-DLO Ryanair B738 WMI - MAN
EI-EBW Ryanair B738 BGY - EMA
G-OZBW Monarch A320 FAO - EMA

Manchester's EK A380 also wanted to divert to BHX but couldn't as there is no A380 deicing equipment that would reach the top, so it went to LGW instead.

Also forgot to add Monarch A320 G-ZBAA returned from Bournemouth earlier and now has Frontier titles on the front.

Ray,

The alternate for the EK A380 was always LGW, im not sure where your info came from but as far as Im aware, BHX was never in consideration, it was LGW, LHR or failing all else, AMS. It had already been decided the flight was going to LGW at 09:15 gmt.

Anyway,

G-TUIG B787 delivered yesterday will position into BHX at 0630 as TOM9015 from MAN.

Maybe I worded slightly wrong by saying 'wanted'. BHX were asked if they could accept EK17 should it need to divert but with no deicing equipment available to reach that high it was quickly ruled out.

I saw a couple of interesting aircraft land today, someone told me they were T6 Texans and are on their way to New Zealand. I imagine they're here for the night?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
