Great to see all our big long haul carriers in the 80's load factors. I know it comes down to yield but you still have to fill them seats.
I think EMA should be really worried.Their passenger growth was built on the reluctance of BHX to accommodateI did enjoy seeing the some of our sun routes doing well this month. Just as one example Faro,
April 2016 BHX 13688 vs 23486 for EMA
April 2017 BHX 30481 vs 24391 for EMA
From 10k behind to 6k ahead. There were other examples to where we were behind last year and are now ahead.
I think EMA should be really worried.Their passenger growth was built on the reluctance of BHX to accommodate
the the low cost airlines. With BHX now aggressively pursuing these airlines the lack of facilities and poor public transport links will start to tell.
To be fair it could not be described as a little airport by anyone under the flight path when the freighters are arriving.Shame for EMA. Lovely little airport. One too many airports in the area with EMA, DSA, LAB and HUY. Not enough PAX to go round. Now with Jet 2 at BHX .....

And i hope that continues and grows.BHX will not be able to compete with them in the near or even distant future.True. I was talking from the PAX point of view. Clearly from the freight side second only to LHR in the UK.
