Norwegian Air Shuttle

The Barcelona and Madrid winter schedules may be being loaded into the system right now, as both routes have disappeared entirely from the BHX drop down list and timetable, when you type in either route it displays the message "invalid city pair".

The 3rd weekly Tenerife (on Wednesdays) is only bookable until March but hopefully that will be amended when the S17 schedule rolls around.

What's strange about BHX is that all trace of BCN/MAD-BHX has been deleted off the website. What are they going to do about bookings up until 30th October which were on the site previously?

GDS and websites not being kind to prospective BHX bookers lately!

I wish they would try something else and new !

Not convinced they committed to BHX moving forward though so not getting hopes up of anything else from these guys anytime soon.

I can see both returning for S17. Norwegian have proved they can fill (or get reasonable loads on) an A330-200 even while facing competition from three others on Madrid.

Barcelona is still not bookable from MAN or EDI beyond October, same as at BHX. Because MAN-BCN is a very recent addition, I would be very surprised if it was permanently axed from MAN. My guess is that they are making them all summer only routes, although there doesn't seem to have been an announcement of any kind.

If I recall correctly they first announced MAD, AGP and BCN around December time so we could still see some more movement before the end of the year.

That's exactly my train of thought. They must have decided that MAD and BCN are better of for the time being at summer only for the time being - if they've had to wetlease equipment this summer, they may have decided those costs outweigh potential route performance over winter. Hopefully this time next year, they will be in full swing with their own equipment making these kind of routes year-round.

Trying to send a pic but the good news is the Norwegian wifi is ok Departed BHX 30 mins late but the wind is blowing us in the right direction so flight time is 3 hours 40 mins.

Don't think the wifi signal is strong enough to download my pic so I'm going to sit back and relax and will post them when I get back home. Bye

Greetings Brum X. If you're on D8 5857, FR24 currently shows you 37,000 feet just north of Porto. Eta 2137 local.

Have a great time Brum X, I look forward to seeing the pictures upon your return 👍

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
