Any easy way of finding out what aircraft type will be operating a flight for Jet2 & TUI - short of making a dummy booking as far as choosing a seat to see the seat map?

Doesn't google flights show the aircraft type?

Nice video although why it starts with "One of Britain's great surprises" I do not know, it's only what us residents have known all along :)

Was in the Jewellery Quarter on Saturday enjoying a few pints of delicious ale, there are some great pubs in the area. The train into New Street took around 10 mins and we then jumped straight onto a tram which was ready and waiting, in previous years I'd have either had to walk all the way from New St or transfer to Moor St and get the heavy rail from there. The Metro has made such a difference, I can't wait for the Eastside extension to get underway. Father-in-Law was well impressed and he's from Sheffield where they've had trams for years, I think the wait on the platform at Lea Hall was longer than the actually journey :)

The video is excellent. Sure the great surprise phrase is a bit dated, but like Shropshire, being the surprise is the city's attractions. We are not ostentatious. We may do not shout every 5 minutes how brilliant we are. We don't make sure our streets are on TV every night. We just get on with it, enjoy our lives and we just know. and everyone I know who has visited says the same thing: the place is amazing

Something to cheer us up during these strange times :cautious:

The transformation of Birmingham's Eastside district has now gone into first gear since the announcement that Hs2 is to go ahead. On the site of the new Curzon Street station the foundations of the original 1838 roundhouse (engine shed) of the London and Birmingham Railway have emerged.

Hi there Ray and all, with the current situation as it is with flybe now gone, plus this virus, how many passengers are we now expecting Birmingham Airport to lose this year, and what are now the pax numbers likely to be... Andyc

How long is a piece of string springs to mind !!. Seriously we have no way of knowing just now. We need virus to run it's course and confidence to return. Could be quite some time yet.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
