Almost all routing for R33 fly over my locale as it relatively close to Honily, almost because is does not include arrivals from the East. I did notice a plume of dark cloud recently, or was it in fact smoke? I was looking Northeast and the weather radar suggested storm activity.

Bit of action over Darlaston so just know I saw Easyjet from Edinburgh coming in over Walsall, TUI then followed from Màlaga then over the top was Ryanair from Dublin which is just flying over know and in between was Jet2 also from Màlaga never seen it so busy

Aircraft are making approaches now. METAR is showing shallow fog with visibility for R15 of 1000m, but I'm not sure this was the problem.

Kevin
I would think shallow fog. We certainly have some near me, and i'm only 3 DME from BHX runway 15. Heavy showers this afternoon and now clear sky and calm. Ideal recipe for fog patches.

Ryanair air from Malaga landed first, Ryanair from Dublin followed after doing laps of Darlaston, Ryanair also from Dublin also landed in this did 2 laps I think or KLM was first, Brussels landed before KLM then two Luftys came without issues. Not a lot of Aircraft over Darlaston approach to Runway 15 and lots of delays to. I did assume weather

So when the Queen Died would the Pilots and Cabin Crew know and if they did would they tell Passengers ie would say Jet2 staff on the ground at Birmingham tell the captain and he tells the crew that the Queen has died

Yes, the crews were informed and passed on the sad news to the passengers. This image of an ACARS message to an Easyjet flight appeared on another forum

I also saw another report, showing a video of an announcement being made, taken from inside the cabin of a flight.

Kevin

Sorry, I can't remember where I saw it. I think it was either on the BBC website, or YouTube.

Kevin
Just typed Pilot announces Queens Death on YouTube and footage of a British Airways Pilot letting the Passengers and Crew know. Question releated there was a Bloke in the Toilet he came on having never been to the Toilet during an announcement can he hear it in the Lavatory or not. Also bless the BA Cabin Crew Crying in floods of Tears at the news.

When you are on the 'Forums' page (the one that list all of the UK airports), its worth scrolling down to the bottom of the page, where you will find a section titled 'GET IN TOUCH WITH US'. Within this, you will find sections on 'Feedback', 'Ask Us A Question?' and 'Site Information'. All three are very useful. You can give your opinion on certain aspects of the forum, or ask how to do certain things' like link a YouTube video (although, you seem to have worked this out for yourself, which is great!). The 'Site Information' section is also very useful, as Aviador does his best to let us know in advance, of any forum downtime due to maintenance.

I saw there post about Merging so I guess have to get used to it

I'm planning a potential break away in Feb for a few days.

The options at the moment are Lisbon (there are some great fares with easyjet), back to Porto as we did love it there, Milan/Bergamo, Amsterdam or up to Edinburgh. I originally looked at Rome but Jet2 want £1300 for flight only, it's £570 from LHR with BA.

Any other suggestions of places to go?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
