Just looked on the Birmingham Post and there is funding for a 37-storey tower apparently confirmed for the Tramps nightclub site on Broad Street.
This is near the 22-storey Left Bank tower which has just started construction so the skyline in this part of the City will be going through a bit of a renaissance. Can't forget everything being built at Arena Central too.
I hope multiple 20+ storey towers will be planned in the area around Curzon Street HS2 station!

May I ask forgiveness from the boss as I do not recall a dedicated Photography Thread but this a Analogue or Film matter from the olden days!!
Today I found 3 rolls of unopened Kodak colour film asa200 expiry dated 04/2012. These were packed away as part of my forced move into a 'sheltered' bungalow following my most recent Stroke over 4 years ago. They were amongst a pile of stuff that had no furniture in which to reside, kept away from temperature extremities and away from obvious sources of Radiation.
Does any member have any positive advice as to the use of these rolls of exposure films in of fashioned cameras?
I was taught the old school of photography but alas, the digital version has passed me by even though I own two Bridge types ( Nikon and Fujifilm ) and own three Film Nikon cameras, the FE, FM and F3 models.
I am not comfortable with the Digitals but am at ease with the film based cameras. I am planning a test visit to BHX now that the climate has cooled enough for Peggy to ride in the car with me. This visit is to capture on photographic film the A380 before it ceases service here and to enable conversion onto canvas as wall art.
Following this visit, and once I have reoriented myself with the site I can look forward to a group meet etc. but my query as to Film shelf life occupies my mind this evening.
Thank you all my friends![]()
Quick question. If you post a vid on youtube do you receive an alert if someone comments on it?
Birmingham looking Mint
Don't know if this will help?
Thanks for that. So the answer is maybe depending on your settings.
Amazing pictures that bring back some very happy memories
I think it may be a bit of an optical illusion. The perimeter fence was at the bottom of a rather steep bank that ran along the front of the spectator area, so probably not visible from the angle that the picture was taken from.
Sadly I still recall the scoldings that I received for the grass stains on my clothes. Worth it though![]()
