Some of us don't Seasider.

PIA are a basket case and not just for the reasons you give they keep announcing services to the USA are imminent however the FAA have said the won't be visiting Pakistan until February and any services could start is the second quarter at best.

They did add a little rider that non of the above will happen until PIA cough up the money they owe going back up to eight years, says everything about them really.

On a specific BHX note I personally don't want them impacting on any of the current operations byTurkish,Qatar, Emirates and Saudi who along with Air India serve the Indian sub continent pretty well particularly if Air India could add Mumbai to go with the Delhi and Amritsar services.
I can see Mumbai in around a years time

If that is what I have read about Birmingham airport only being a bucket and spade airport destination, then that is why Birmingham is having the difficulty in attracting extra existing and new businesses. So how many years was Nick Barton at Luton and Stansted for, because depending on his length of tenure about both of them. He's already strategicly and planned for Luton airports future, hence why not only did they overtake Birmingham airport, but have forged further ahead with 18 plus million passengers a year, compared to Birmingham airports 12 million, that's a massive 6 million difference. Also he's done the same at Stansted airport, now they are touching 20 million plus passengers a year, that's a further 8 million more. I do think that next Birmingham airport master plan will be a waste of time, because it's been amended that many times, you don't really know what predicted future passenger levels will be

Good evening.
Just looking at the amount of routes we’ve had in the past few summers and I must say this is probably one of the quieter years for new routes obviously Ryanair are tracking out of uk airports due financial problems in the uk which you may know what I’m talking about.

2023 summer:
Saudia -Jeddah 3 weekly
Qatar Doha daily
Emirates Dubai Daily A380 and daily B77W
EasyJet -Naples,Milan,Lisbon
Ryanair -Pisa,Girona,
Sun express-Izmir,Dalaman
Jet2-Nice

2024 summer:
EasyJet base:16 new routes
Ryanair Paris,Berlin,Marrakesh,Agadir,Tirana,Chania,Paphos,Derry
Jet2:Lesvos,Bergen
Eurowings Prague

2025 summer:
Jet2Pula,Jerez,Salerno,Porto
EasyJet 2 base aircraft:Gibraltar,Linate,Gran Canaria,,Bordeaux and malta including increased frequencies on other routes.
PIA?

Is this year poor or is it me being harsh?
Could we expect more in 2025?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. The news items can then be shared on the site homepage by you. #TakePart #Forums4airports Bring the news to one place!
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
