Eastern did Inverness & of course Newcastle I used this service a few times but it never had more than half a dozen passengers when I used it, there is just not enough demand I’m afraid, NQY -we did have bmibaby 737’s for a summer or 2
Newcastle was a flight I looked into a few years back, and Eastern were charging about £300 return. At the same time, Flybe were charging about £70 return for BHX-NQY, and much as I like Newcastle, the flight I was going to be on to Los Angeles in January was £339. At that price is was only every going to suit business clientele.

I thought Cyprus airways went bankrupt a few years back.
There is a new Cyprus Airways and yes Biblio Travel have mentioned BHX

Just noticed on the dried fruit forum that Iberia Express have put EDI-MAD back on sale, I hope they come back to BHX when things pick up ?

Like so much, we will have to wait and see. My understanding was that the MAN-MAD slots had been pulled until May. Like Edinburgh, MAN seems bookable three times per week from May on the Iberia Express website though I have not tried a dummy booking. Doubtless BHX will be back at some stage.

Yes hopefully next week should see new route(s) being announced
I’m guessing they’re from an airline we already have?

I know eurowings mentioned possible growth and we’re waiting for Ryanair to sort out their new UK arm which would enable them to start the UK-Turkey routes they applied for.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
