This does seem concerning!
Having looked at the Primera website, the high pricing on EWR and BOS, with normal pricing on YYZ could indicate a 4 x weekly EWR and 3 x weekly YYZ and no BOS.
I sincerely hope this is a blip, especially with all of the marketing and hype that has taken place.

This bit doesn't add up. Could the aircraft be listed under a lessor, or other operator name?

Kevin
Nothing obvious Kevin. I use planespotters.net and they use operators name against the serial number rather than any lessor name. Also on the A380***Links to other forums are not permitted*** site and the A320neo family thread there is not a thread yet for Primera.

Doesn't feel right, Friday is given the choice the day companies and governments for that matter issue bad news hopefully it won't happen or it's down to aircraft delivery. On the other forum someone has suggested Stansted is rumored to see changes for the worse also.

Fingers crossed.

I hope this is just a website blip, but a bit concerning............

Sad I know, but I normally check the Primera website quite regularly to check the latest prices and a noticeable difference tonight, and it has been like this all evening.

All of the Boston fares have shot up, cheapest £699 out and £726 return.
The Tues/Thurs/Sat Newark fares are the same £699 out and £726 return.

Skyscanner returns the the same fares.

Coincidentally, Tues/Thurs/Sat are the days the Boston flights do not operate, so the higher fares equate to 7 days and one based aircraft.

All Stansted fares look ok, as do the BHX-Toronto.

I hope this is a website blip and not a sign of flights being cancelled.

Does anyone know the serial numbers of the A321's due to be delivered ? The Airbus A320 family production lists i normally monitor is up to 8150 now and no sign of a Primera allocation.

I really hope this is a blip and/or I have totally misread the situation. With all of the publicity and advertising taking place, credibility would be shot if they started cancelling routes.

Not great news if you're looking for a bargain but it would also suggest that seats are selling well if they feel the need to increase the price? As a consumer we want to buy seats at the lowest price, but in the long run this wouldn't be good for the airline.

My gut feeling says this isn’t good as I have always suspected something like this would happen. But it’s still early days and perhaps it is just a glitch. Remember all the doom and gloom when the EK A380 disappeared for a while? #keepthefaith

Surely this is down to simply not having sufficient a/c to operate the advertised schedule?

Never understood ramping the prices though, this can only be detrimental in the long term.

Schoolboy error somewhere. Farce. Give them 18 months if this is the level of competence.

There are lots of rumours flying around at the moment which isn't really any good for anybody.

So lets look at what we know.

As it stands we see 4x weekly New York and 3x weekly Toronto throughout the summer using one aircraft. The fares on the Tue, Thur and Sat EWR and 4x weekly BOS are pricing people out of booking and the schedules are no longer in Amadeus. At the moment Boston now starts on Sept 21st, the schedule appears in Amadeus from then on and the fares on the website return to normal.

Taking into account the above and if nothing changes, it looks very much like an aircraft delivery delay as if it was down weak bookings then Boston wouldn't start after the main summer period. If that is the case then it's just one of those unfortunate things and may be totally out of Primera's control and they're making the best out of the situation.

Things may well change in the coming weeks, it could just be a precautionary measure and the schedule may go back to normal, Boston may disappear altogether and we remain at one aircraft or it may just stay as is and be a delayed start. Until we hear something official it's nothing more than speculation.

Unfortunately it's going to be a wait and see situation.

Yeah it probably is a late aircraft delivery as you say Ray and cant be helped, exactly the same thing happened at EDI for the 737Max TATL launch last summer with Norweigan. However it is going to irritate some people who have booked on the flights.

I think it is our very own Ian F who is saying on the "Dried Fruit" taht it looks like aircraft delivery delays. The first Primera A321 was seen at Hamburg this week with only half a fuselage

Manage expectations. Seems like someone at Primera has not read the management and marketing handbook. Hopefully, and sorry to those whobhave booked, it is the aircraft order and nothing else. STD showing the same pattern which does suggest aircraft availability.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
