And the alcohol for tonight is....?

I don't know how to respond to that Jennyjet except to say "stay strong". I know that sound unfair to you but it's meant as supportive. Life can be a ***** (pardon the French).

Ooooh, you lot are a bunch of cruel teasers, I can not touch a drop of the golden stuff namely Scottish Wine! Medication is too strong.....oh boy, wishing nature would just get on with it!
I share the sentiments of those expressed by others. Life can be incredibly cruel sometimes but we have to stay strong and make the most of it. I hope you have a better day tomorrow Jenny.

I did have a large brandy this evening. We usually drink when we go out for meals or have visitors. The last time we went out for a meal was early November immediately before the four-week lockdown and now we are in tier 3. So no visitors and no going out for meals in the lockdown or now in tier 3.

Mrs Yoke, who can take or leave alcohol, has been teetotal since early November, as was I until this evening. I can't say I feel any better or any worse after my near five-week abstinence.

I picked up a bottle of Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon in our local Co-Op with £1.50 off, making it much more affordable. It's currently warming by the radiator (I hate chilled reds). I also have a nice Camembert cheese, which should go nicely with it.

(my spellchecker wants to change 'Casillero del Diablo' into 'Casserole del Diabolic' 🤣).
