Scoot is a low cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines They are extremely unlikely to come into Birmingham. Also Singapore and Bangkok most people fly Emirates to there you are forgetting we have them.I have just been on hold and had a conversation with FLY SCOOT they recorded my name and comments about Birmingham Airport and the fact that Birmingham would welcome Singapore and Bangkok flights the gentleman recorded conversation and says they will now look at the decision and think Birmingham is a great alternative than Manchester for new routes and SCOOT - (I am hoping they do come as well - lets see what happens and I am not to upset anyone - ) ( SCOOT FLYS GATWICK to SINGAPORE and BANGKOK )
It’s not a case that people forget that you can use emirates. I’m sure most are aware of that. However emirates doesn’t always have to be the awser to getting around. There are plenty of other airlines that you can use and also worth remembering that some might want a direct service. Also Singapore and Bangkok most people fly Emirates to there you are forgetting we have them.

a lot of people also use KLM/ AFR/ DLH etc.Exactly, Air India, PIA, and Turkish may as well give up and Hans scrap their plans while Qatar need not to bother thinking of returning.
Emirates are highly valuable to BHX but not a monopoly.
Do you do any research at all Cus I have Brunei is a Country I wasn't sure who served it it has 1 European Route Royal Brunei to London Heathrow and that's it. They had service to Frankfurt but scrapped it ages ago. In fact Brunei as a country doesn't even get Emirates or Qatar or Etihad or Turkish or Qantas or any major players so no way would Royal Brunei have success to there 2nd European Destination being Birmingham. I do seriously think you should research your airlines before you phone them. Birmingham needs to build up it's European Network and to a degree Domestic Network. Gibraltar, Vienna, Prague, More Service From Easyjet or Swiss to Zurich, Berlin, Milan and then getting Qatar to return and Hope Hans Airways does well and then maybe PIA Who might be returning can recover demand and Hope EK send the A380 back before we look at anything more. Let alone a Country which has 1 single European Flight not at the moment it does resume or anywhere exotic. The closest to Thailand I've seen you mention is TUi Seasonal to Langwaki or someone like that or Maybe Phuket or Both and that didn't survive. But Royal Brunei Are not going to serve Birmingham any time soon they are focused on Asia, Oceania and LHR.Today I just telephoned ROYAL AIR BRUNEI where a kind lady told me put pen to paper and send to BRUNEI-HEAD OFFICE suggestion - to start Birmingham BHX flights - ( I am happy now I got something to do - with love to all take care and enjoy the day x x x
Well yes that to I also don't know of many Brunieans in the Midlands if any I knew of one he was a footballer for Leicester but I do believe he had links to The Royal Family of Brunei Faiq Bolkair I think his name was. He was mentioned on YouTube hence I heard of him. But apart from that I don't know ant Brunieans. There King/Sultan is ridiculouly rich he has like 4 McLaren F1's and lots of other rare and exclusive Cars. Brunei is also a Country not really seen much on the News, on Social Media and I don't hear people say they want to go there. I think the LHR route exists for Bruneians to visit England and come home or maybe as Connecting Traffic so Bruneians can visit New York I heard it was something to do with that. I do sometimes wonder if KJAY is doing it because he thinks it could work or if it is part of his Fantasy Network sort of like me on Airlines Manager would any of my US Routes work on Widebodies in real life from Birmingham work probably not.I think Brunei is a no go as it is only the Royal Family that is very very rich
Brunei used to be an alternative and usually cheaper route to Australia, but now RBA only flies to Melbourne. It was always a long journey, with two stops, and often involved an overnight in Brunei, which I think was included in the airfare. Now, as DarloPlaneBoy notes, I struggle to see how the route is commercially viable. Brunei itself is never going to be a successful tourist destination for Brits.I think the LHR route exists for Bruneians to visit England and come home or maybe as Connecting Traffic so Bruneians can visit New York I heard it was something to do with that.
