Things coming along. Dual taxiway concreting between Pier C and B has been on the go for years it seems!

You’re welcome. But I doubt anything will be ready by Easter.Thank you for sharing the photos. You can see there has been a real big push to get things sorted for school holiday at Easter. They will need the extra capacity of the security east hall by them.

I'd heard murmurings of a "November fully operational" date.It looks like there is still a lot of work to do on the pier before it opens. I can't see it being ready for the summer season. I guess that means there won't be any (or many) airlines moving from T1 to T2 in the next few months.
I think that video is a few weeks old, however, it does seem that it won't be ready when initially planned. But hopefully some part of it will be before the main summer holidays begins (i.e. mid July). It looks like there is still a lot of work to do on the pier before it opens. Ironic you should say that, as a few months back, someone else on another forum mentioned that were speaking to a member of the Emirates staff in the T1 lounge of the airline and he stated the lounge opening in pier 2 would be delayed until November...this makes me think (if true), that Emirates will be the last to move over to T2 when the lounge is fully ready...in the meantime, I still expect a phased opening approach over the summer period until the full opening, so the likes of SAS, Finnair, Luxair, BA, Aer Lingus, airlines who use narrowbodies on their flights will surely be the next batch to transfer over, again with that phased opening of pier 2...I'd heard murmurings of a "November fully operational" date.
BA and Aer Lingus are due to transfer over sometime in May, as the biometrics have now been installed at a lot of the gates in pier 1 and within the B gates area too.Does anyone know when BA move into T2. As I’m having to fly down to London in the summer due to engineering works on the trains.
I wonder where this leaves Loganair then? As they will be the last airline in T3 aside from Ryanair and they like Ryanair would presumably need to be out of T3 check-in by June so the deadline for new security scanners can be met. They have also confirmed a T2 move by October and I'm assuming they and the passengers wouldn't fancy two terminal moves in one year.BA and Aer Lingus are due to transfer over sometime in May, as the biometrics have now been installed at a lot of the gates in pier 1 and within the B gates area too.
This is the last info I have and they will be the next two airlines to transfer over, so indeed keep an eye out on your emails...
Could see new yellow stand signs for T2 legacy stands when I was south side yesterday. Doubtful Pier 3 is going to happen anytime soon then! Could see removal of one of the double airbridges on Pier C. Lots of activities on dual taxiway, concreting has taken years to complete for some reason! Lol

I think Loganair will move over before the summer as the biometrics for domestic flights is almost fully in place.
October to T2, not sure where this has come from but surprised if true…
These yellow stand signs are blank. I think pier 3 will happen but probably not until next year at the earliest, my personal opinion.
Ref the dual taxiway, yes it’s been done in stag
How will airport cope if Pier 3 built, loss of all legacy stands and current remotes between Pier 2 and C. Is it worth it, probably only small net stand gain? Maybe refurbish and reclad eastern Pier instead? Better investing in integration of T1 and T3 and taking down those eye sore towers!es over the last couple of years. Hopefully all will be complete by end of summer

Pier 3 would likely be able to accommodate a higher density. There’s 8 legacy stands, a full length pier 3 with appropriate gates could handle 14-16 medium bodies at once (using pier 1s west side as an example)How will airport cope if Pier 3 built, loss of all legacy stands
