With confirmation (although not official) from the airport’s flights section page on the website, suggests Ryanair will be T1 based from 21st October for departures and T3 for arrivals.
But does MAG have a plan for their current T1 lounges, given the fact there aren’t any in T3.
I have a few Ryanair flights booked between October and January and would ideally like to book the Escape or Aspire lounge.
Escape Lounge in T1 is still bookable from T1 in December on the MAN Airport website. That might be an indication it's staying for now, but 1903 Lounge is also still listed after then indicating that changes are yet to be updated.

I recall CCGE29 mentioning Pier B will remain open for Ryanair from November (which you're probably aware of). Whether this is still the plan I'm not sure, but if so I'm assuming it will be around the date EasyJet move out. So before then I'm guessing it should be fine to access the current T1 Escape Lounge providing you have time to get back into the T3 departure lounge? After then I'm not sure, but I'm sure they'll be demand for one regardless (Liverpool which mostly has LCC's have just reopened and relocated their Aspire Lounge).

Thanks for the info.
Has the Aspire in T1 closed or is that the 1903?

Yes, it has been mentioned that Pier B will be used for nightstopping aircraft and therefore first wave departures for Ryanair flights, I assume bussed over from current T3 departures.

I don’t think they are?
i was going to say the same - where are ba getting special treatment by MAN?
I didn't say that they were getting special treatment, I asked the question - why should they get special treatment? I was referring to the comment by @Trumpington, that the pax would not be happy bussing from Pier C to remote stand especially in the rain.

I think 1903 has closed in T1, but it's also due to close/be rebranded in T2 as well from what I remember.

Regarding night stopping, could it maybe be possible to open a link between Gate 36 in T1 and Gate 37 in T3 to connect the two terminals? The lounge is on the way to that location. Post #2139 also mentioned that Ryanair would be using T1 Gates while T3 is being refurbished so this may indicate the lounge could stay for the time being too, but I guess we'll find out closer to the time.

well the context was a point about ba flights - but yes i am sure you could equally say the same for most airlines that passengers would not be happy about being bussed. additionally ba currently uses jetbridges in t3, so if there were a move to bussing that would be something which wouldn't go down well.

I think it will be based on stand availability at the time of the scheduled arrivals. I have noticed on FR24 that the Aer Lingus A320 flights are allocated stand 103 (gate A3) majority of the time but occasionally they get a remote stand.

Interesting to see an Ethopian heavy remote parked on T3 yesterday? Wonder why? Pier C was empty. Must have been a test

No test, lack of stands at T2 when the Ethiopian arrived. Passengers had to deplane via steps which cannot be done on Pier C, so would have been easier to keep at T3 until ready to be towed over to T2.

No steps at Pier C. At least we know airbridges will still be use then once it ' becomes part of T2'. We just to find out please, how passengers will physically enter Pier C to use airbridges?

I imagine via the gate 20 area, which is downstairs next to the information desk located at the beginning of pier C, unless a new entrance/exit will be constructed…

That's going to be some operation. Running all those buses with all those people to all those stands!? Surely something more slick in the pipeline. What a grim passenger experience to get to a plane!

Just thinking about this logically, you will be called to a B gate in T2 to be deposited inside T1 Pier C, will the gates inside C be renumbered to match the bus gates or will passengers then have another gate to find and arrive at?

Always remember that in whatever industry, people will go out of their way to complain on social media when they claim they had a bad experience. The majority who have no problems don't actual go out of their way on social media to state that.

Ryanair now confirmed to move to Terminal 1 on 21st October. Only affects Check-In and Security at this moment in time:

The article mentions that World Duty Free, WHSmith, Boots, Travelex, InMotion, Jo Malone, and The Sculpts in T1 will remain open, so it appears the link to T3 will be via the lounge entrances and Gate 36.

@LS@MAN Article Mentions that Ryanair passengers can now book the T1 Escape Lounge :)

Dummy car parking shows that the current Terminal 1 entrance will be rebranded as Terminal 3 on 19th November 2025. Ryanair flights are showing as departing from Terminal 3 again from that date. So it appears that the Terminal 1 name will be retired, I'm assuming because it's been well advertised that the terminal will "close".

Not sure if this coincides with Ryanair's move to Pier B if that's still on the cards.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
