OAN 023/2022 AIRCRAFT FUEL HYDRANT SYSTEM NIGHT-TIME SHUTDOWN.
This OAN replaces OAN 022/2022 with immediate effect. Changes relate to fuel hydrant shut down times.

PLEASE ENSURE THIS INFORMATION IS PROMULGATED TO ALL STAFF
1.0 SUMMARY
1.1 Eight night-time shutdowns of the aircraft fuel hydrant system serving all Terminals is required to facilitate essential maintenance work at the MASHCo fuel farm. The timing of the shutdowns will be coordinated to avoid any operational disruption. This work was previously cancelled due to Covid.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The work will start on Monday 16th May and be completed by the morning of Friday 27th May 2022, working Monday to Thursday nights inclusive. 2.2 Nominally, the work will be carried out between the hours of 22:30L and 05:00L each night.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 The scope of work will be essential electrical maintenance and pipe replacements within the fuel farm switch rooms.
3.2 All work will take place within the MASHCo Fuel Farm.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 The aircraft fuel hydrant system serving all Terminals will be shut down between the hours of 22:30L each night and be reinstated by 04:30L each morning; except for Tuesday 24th and Thursday 26th May, when the fuel shutdown will be delayed until the Aegean Airlines flight scheduled to arrive at 23:45L has been fuelled.
4.2 The work has been coordinated to avoid operational disruption, and therefore, will not commence until the final aircraft departure (prior to first wave) requiring hydrant fuelling has been served. In the event of the final aircraft departure being delayed, the start of work will also be delayed, as required.
4.3 Outside of the aforementioned times, the aircraft fuel hydrant system will be operating as normal.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1 Overall, the work will have no effect on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.
5.2 Work may continue during periods of low visibility due to there being no requirement for the works party to enter the airfield.


OAN 025/2022 FIBRE OPTIC CABLE INSTALLATION - R SUB TO STAND 206

This OAN replaces OAN 024-2022 with immediate effect. Changes relate to programme dates and times.

1.0 SUMMARY A programme of up to four shifts of work to upgrade the fibre optic cabling between R Sub Station and Stand 206, to improve network resilience within Terminal 2. This will involve accessing the existing pit and ducted system between the two locations to carry out the installation of new cables.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The work will commence on Monday 16th May and be completed by Friday 20th May 2022.
2.2 The work will be carried out in two phases.
2.2.1 The first phase of the installation will take place on the nights of Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th May. Nominally, between the hours of 23:00L and 05:00L. Wednesday 18th May 2022 will be reserved as a contingency night shift.
2.2.2 The second phase of the installation, via Stand 206, will take place during the day on either Thursday 19th or Friday 20th May 2022, dependant on the completion date of Phase 1. This phase is to take advantage of natural gaps in the flight schedule. Nominally, the working hours will be between the hours of 11:00-16:00L.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 The works will originate at R Sub, cross Taxiway Echo (TWY E) and the grassed areas beside Taxiway November Bravo (TWY NB) then cross Taxiway November Charlie (TWY NC) to Stand 205, into Stand 206 and terminate in Coms Room 2006, at the head of Stand 206.
3.2 Overall, the work comprises of the following:
• Prestart set up on Stand 66 compound comprising: Introduce gas detection into chamber, set up of cable drum and ‘A’ Frame Access System.
• The removal and replacement of existing cable chamber lids.
• The proving of the connecting duct systems using a rod system.
• Cable installation.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Stand 66L and 66C to be closed for the duration of the works. Stand 66R will remain available for aircraft parking.
4.2 Works on Taxiway Echo
4.2.1 TWY E is to be closed at Taxiway Holding Point (THP) E3 with the stop bar illuminated and mobile barriers either side of the working area.
4.2.2 THP E3 will not be available as a Tug Release Point during the working times listed at paragraph 2.2.1
4.2.3 Non-standard push backs required from Stands 31, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 112, 114 & 116.
4.2.4 TWY NB to remain closed as a taxiway throughout the working times listed at paragraph 2.2.1.
4.2.5 The Apron Road across TWY E from Stand 66 to Stand 80 will remain available always.
4.3 Work within the grassed area abeam Taxiway November Charlie
4.3.1 TWY NC to TWY Romeo (TWY R) is to remain open. The contractor will vacate the work area under ASCO guidance for any aircraft needing to manoeuvre along TWY NC.
4.3.2 TWY NB is to remain closed as a taxiway.
4.4 Work on Taxiway November Charlie
4.4.1 TWY NC will be closed abeam Stand 205 and THP NC2 Stop bar is to be illuminated.
4.4.2 The contractor will vacate the work area under ASCO guidance for any aircraft needing to manoeuvre along TWY NC to or from TWY R.
4.4.3 IHP NC2 will not be available as a TRP for the working times listed at paragraph 2.2. Non-standard push backs required from Stands 22, 72, 104, 106, 108, 110, 202, 204, 206, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211, 231, 235, 237, 241, 243, 807, 809 & 811.
4.4.4 A section of Stand 205 equipment area will be barriered off and cleared of equipment to enable access to pit 10.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1. Overall, the work will have no effect on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.


OAN 026/2022 – TAXIWAY ALPHA NIGHT-TIME PAVEMENT REPAIRS.

1.0 SUMMARY
1.1 A one‐night programme of work to carry out essential pavement repairs on Taxiway Alpha. During the working times, Taxiway Alpha will be closed from its junction with Taxiway Bravo to east of Rapid Exit Taxiway (RET) Alpha‐Echo. RETs Bravo‐Delta and Alpha‐Echo will not be available as Runway 23R exits whilst work is in progress. Aircraft may be required to backtrack Runway 05L‐23R as directed by ATC.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 Work will take place on the night of Thursday 12th May 2022.
2.2 The planned working hours will be 22:30 – 05:00L.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 The scope of work will be the completion of 2 x asphalt patch repairs, both of which will be located on Taxiway Alpha between its junction with Taxiway Bravo and Intermediate Holding Point (IHP) A3.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Runway Operations
4.1.1 Runway 05L‐23R will remain operational for the duration of the night works.
4.1.2 Link Bravo will be restricted to maximum aircraft size ICAO Code E (B777/A350) whilst the night work is in progress.
Runway 23R Operations.
4.1.3 Whilst the night work is in progress, the following operational considerations will apply:
 RETs Bravo‐Delta and Alpha‐Echo will be unavailable as a runway exits. The runway lead‐ off lighting for both RETs will be extinguished.
 Arriving aircraft unable to vacate Runway 23R via Link Bravo will be required to backtrack the runway as directed by ATC. N.B: ICAO Code F aircraft (A380/ B748/ A124) will be prohibited from using Link Bravo and will be required to perform a long runway backtrack, as directed by ATC, to Link Hotel. Runway 05L Operations.
4.1.4 Whilst the night work is in progress, the following operational considerations will apply:
 Departing aircraft unable to accept an intersection departure from Link Bravo (TORA 2036m) will be required to backtrack the runway as directed by ATC. N.B: ICAO Code F aircraft (A380/ B748/ A124) will be prohibited from using Link Bravo and will be required to perform a long runway backtrack, as directed by ATC, from Link Hotel.
4.2 Taxiway Restrictions
4.2.1 During the night working times, Taxiway Alpha will be closed from its junction with Taxiway Bravo to east of RET Alpha‐Echo.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1 In the event of forecast low visibility, the planned night‐time work will be cancelled. Taxiway Alpha and associated runway exits will remain open. 5.2 In the event of un‐forecast reduced visibility conditions (meeting the criteria for LVP Alert) prevailing when work has begun, the work will be curtailed at the earliest opportunity.

OAN 028/2022 – AIRFIELD PAVEMENT REPAIRS - TAXIWAY KILO.

PLEASE ENSURE THIS INFORMATION IS PROMULGATED TO ALL STAFF
1.0 SUMMARY A programme of up to two weeks’ work to carry out concrete bay replacements on Taxiway Kilo between Intermediate Holding Points (IHPs) K1 and K3. This section of Taxiway Kilo and Taxiway Foxtrot (F) between IHPs F1 and F2 will be closed H24 for one week. Taxiway Foxtrot will be remain closed at IHP F2, H24 for the duration of the work.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The overall programme of work will commence on Monday 13th June and will be completed by Friday 24th June 2022.
2.2 Nominal working times will be 08:00 – 18:00L
2.3 Access to the site will be required to carry out saw-cutting of the poured concrete. This will be arranged through the ADM and carried out at night approximately 12 hours after the pour.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 The work will be located within an enclosed work area on Taxiway Kilo between IHPs K1 and K3. See attached drawing.
3.2 The scope of work will be the replacement of 4 x concrete pavement bays on the edge of Taxiway Kilo, at IHP K2.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Taxiway Closures
4.1.1 Taxiway Kilo will be closed between Intermediate Holding Points (IHP) K1 and K3 from 13th to 20th June 2022.
4.1.2 Taxiway Foxtrot will be closed between Runway Holding Point (RHP) F1 and IHP F2 from 13th to 20th June 2022.
4.1.3 Taxiway Kilo will reopen as a through route on Monday 20th June following a crush test to ensure that the concrete has sufficiently hardened. 4.1.4 RHP F1 will also reopen for crossing traffic on Monday 20th June following the crush test.
4.1.5 Taxiway Foxtrot at IHP F2 will remain closed until Friday 24th June 2022 to ensure full concrete curing.
4.1.6 The closed section of taxiway Foxtrot will be demarked by lit barriers and unlit taxiway centrelines.
4.2 Runway 05L/23R
4.2.1 The crossing route Foxtrot – Foxtrot Zulu (F-FZ) will be unavailable from 13th to 20th June 2022. The first exit off 05L will be Hotel.
4.3 Implications for manoeuvring of ICAO Code F (A380) Aircraft
4.3.1 Code F aircraft arriving or departing outside of the dual runway operating hours (06:30L – 20:00L) may be required to backtrack Runway 05L-23R as directed by ATC. If required, the aircraft will be provided with an Airfield Operations ‘Follow-Me’ vehicle.
4.3.2 The nominal route for a 23R departure will be:
• Enter runway at link Bravo to exit at link Hotel and depart at Juliet 1. The nominal route for a 05L arrival will be:
• Vacate runway at J1 or M1 and re-enter the runway at link Hotel to vacate at link Bravo.
4.4 Open Field Engine Testing
4.4.1 The designated open-field engine testing location on Taxiway Kilo will be unavailable for the duration of the works. Depending on the prevailing runway operating mode, open-field testing locations will be tactically determined by the Airfield Duty Manager and will consider any operational impact such engine testing may have on the airfield. Further information regarding aircraft engine testing can be obtained from the Airfield Duty Manager. NB: Due to local authority agreements and government planning conditions, open-field engine tests are subject to extensive restrictions and therefore significant delays to the commencement of engine tests on the open airfield may occur during this work.
4.5 Aircraft De-icing
4.5.1 No de-icing will be permitted on Taxiway Bravo between IHPs B4 and B5 for the duration of the works.
5.0 WORK AREA DEMARCATION
5.1 The work area on the closed portion of Taxiway Kilo will be demarked by full height, lit, Heras fencing with red/white baseboards.
6.0 LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)
6.1 Overall, the work has no impact on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.

A programme of up to three weeks’ work to carry out intrusive ground surveys (trial pits and a window sample) in areas at the heads of Stands 209 and 210. Stands 210L and 210 will be closed H24 for up to seven days each (not simultaneously) during the programme of works. There will also be a requirement to temporarily displace equipment parked in Equipment Bay 209 onto the currently closed Stand 211.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 The overall programme of work will commence on Monday 6th and will be completed by Friday 24th June 2022 (including contingency).
2.2 Work will take place during daylight hours, Monday to Friday each week.
2.3 The work will be split into two phases, lasting circa seven working days each.
2.3.1 During the first phase (06/06/22 – 14/06/22), work will be located at the Head of Stand 210L and within Equipment Bay 209 simultaneously.
2.3.2 During the second phase (15/06/22 – 24/06/22), work will be located at the Head of Stand 210.

3.1 The overall scope of work be the undertaking of intrusive ground surveys consisting of 2 x trail pits and 1 x window sample.
3.2 The trail pits will be located as follows:
 Trial Pit 1 (TP01) – Abutting the terminal building at the head of Stand 210L.
 Trail Pit 2 (TP02) – Partially within the tug box and Equipment Bay 210 at the head of Stand 210.
3.3 The window sample (WS02) will be located within Equipment Bay 209.
3.4 The working locations are shown on the attached drawings.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Whilst work is in progress at location TP01 (06/06/22 – 14/06/22), Stand 210L will be downgraded to maximum aircraft type ICAO Code C (A321/ B737). Stand 210 (main centreline) will remain open.
4.2 Whilst work is in progress at TP02 (15/06/22 – 24/06/22), Stand 210 (main centreline) will be closed H24. Stand 210L will remain open without aircraft size restrictions.
4.3 Whilst work is in progress at location WS02, Equipment Bay 209 will be temporarily closed. Displaced vehicles/ equipment may be parked on the currently closed Stand 211.
5.0 WORK AREA DEMARCATION

2.1 Work will take place on the nights of Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th June 2022, inclusive.
2.2 The planned nightly working hours will be 22:30 – 06:00L.
3.0 SCOPE & LOCATION OF WORKS
3.1 Overall, the scope and location of work will be:

• Asphalt repairs and over-banding on Runway 05L‐23R between Links Papa and Foxtrot.
• Asphalt repairs on Taxiway Alpha in the vicinity of Intermediate Holding Point (IHP) A3.
• Routine runway maintenance tasks including AGL repairs and refreshment of painted ground
markings.

4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Runway Operations
4.1.1 During the Runway 05L‐23R closure period (22:30‐06:00L) all flight operations will take place on Runway
05R‐23L.
4.2 Taxiway Restrictions
4.2.1 Taxiway Alpha will be closed on the night of Thursday 9th June from east of Rapid Exit Taxiway (RET)
Alpha‐Echo to the junction with Taxiway Bravo.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1 In the event of forecast low visibility, the planned work will be cancelled and Runway 05L‐23R will remain
open.
5.2 In the event of un‐forecast reduced visibility conditions (meeting the criteria for LVP Alert) during the

1.1 An overall working programme of circa ten days to erect a fenced compound within the equipment parking area to the east of Stand 201 followed by the delivery and installation of 28 x site welfare cabins in a two‐storey arrangement. This is enabling work forming part of the second phase of the MAN‐TP project. The cabins will be in‐situ for approximately two years.
2.0 SCOPE AND LOCATION OF WORKS
2.1 The scope of work will be as follows:
 Erection of fenced compound.
 Minor alteration to adjacent section of apron road system.
 Installation of new Inter‐stand Clearway to the east of Stand 201.
 Delivery of welfare cabins into the fenced compound.
 GMP security searches of the cabins.
 Crane lifts to position cabins into final location.
 Re‐sizing of fenced compound into final its arrangement.
2.2 All work will take place in the area immediately east of Stand 201.

3.2 All work will take place during daylight hours, Monday – Friday.
4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Overall, the work will have no impact on adjacent sections of the manoeuvring area or Stand 201.
4.2 Whilst the crane is lifting some of the upper storey cabins into their final positions, adjacent sections of apron road and pedestrian walkway may be temporarily closed (max duration 15 minutes per lift).
4.2.1 The required temporary apron road and pedestrian walkway closures will be managed by contractor banksmen.
5.0 LOW VISIBILITY OPERATIONS (LVO)
5.1 The work will have no impact on the airport’s ability to operate during periods of low visibility.

This document replaces OAN 013/2022 with immediate effect.
PLEASE ENSURE THIS INFORMATION IS PROMULGATED TO ALL STAFF
1.0 SUMMARY
The extended dual runway operating hours as described within OAN 013/2022 will not be brought into effect, instead, the runway operating hours are to revert to those routinely employed prior to the Covid‐19 pandemic.
2.0 PROGRAMME
2.1 With immediate effect, dual runway operating hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday 06:15 – 20:00L
Saturday 06:15 – 16:00L
Sunday 06:15 – 09:30L and 13:00 – 20:00L
2.2 Outside of the above hours single runway operations will be in force using Runway 05L‐23R.
3.0 RESCUE & FIRE‐FIGHTING SERVICE CATEGORY (RFFS)
3.1 RFFS Category 10 fire cover will be provided at all times.
4.0 PROMULGATION OF INFORMATION
4.1 A NOTAM will be issued promulgating the amendment to dual runway operating hours.

Where is the actual exact location of the next pier going to be?
I notice the cabins from the first phase of the TP are still over next to the freight terminal...any sign of these being moved...there is probably room there for 1/2 more narrow body stands.

As per the last TAS TP meeting Pier 2 is next; the stub of which is already built next to the bussing lounge.

Pier 3 was next (once upon a time) but rightly so they changed it once it was realised they’d loose most if not all legacy gates during its construction.

Thanks for the info @marni1971 I was under the impression this Pier (with the stub) was actually the 3rd to be built.

So will this 2nd Pier also be a mixture of narrowbody and widebody capable?

Unfortunately I'm on holiday at present with very limited access to files. In answer to the original question asked by LS@MAN I believe that the "cabins" that you refer to over by the fuel farm are actually the offices for the airport airside operations team and nothing to do with the MANTP project. As marni1971 has already said, the next pier will come out from where the new bussing lounge has been built.
When I'm home - today is day 1 of a week's break - I'll try to remember to look out various plans for you.

The cabins I was referring to are the ones located at the other side of the Freight terminal…almost opposite the first pier….these was from the first phase of the TP.
