I saw that. It shows how far behind its back LBAs arm is, in terms of a longer night period, far less night movements permitted, and far stricter limits generally. It also shows in my view, as we have seen before, that the anti airport mobs are working in unison to impact airports.Posted here for comparison:

Campaigners accuse Stansted Airport of ‘clever three-card trick’ to ramp up night flights
SAW (Stansted Airport Watch) has discovered that last summer there were 10,509, compared to the statutory limit of 8,100.www.bishopsstortfordindependent.co.uk
Suppose I will get a similar response to my letter. My view is that an equal amount of time should be given to both sides, rather than 90% to anti-airport types and a 'token' statement from the airport. Ideally the airport would have put a spokesman forward. Finally received a response back from the BBC - as expected they backed their reporter and stand by the report. Didn’t really expect any different BUT at least the issue was raised with the Look North Editor so who knows maybe next they may include another side to their report and interestingly they didn’t cover the Cookridge meeting unlike Calendar.
Thanks for contacting us about Look North on 28 September.
We’re sorry to learn of your unhappiness with Spencer Stokes’s report on Leeds Bradford Airport.
“Spencer’s report highlighted the accusations that Leeds Bradford Airport had breached its summer season night flight quota for the second consecutive year.
The item featured contributions from Andy Tait of the Group for Action on Leeds Bradford Airport as well as Chiara Tornaghi, a resident who lives close to the airport who spoke about the noise problem in the area. We also featured the response to the allegations in a statement published by LBA.
Our report concluded by noting that Leeds City Council would make a final decision on whether the quota had been broken after the summer season ends and that, for now, both sides would interpret the data in different ways.
At no point did Spencer take any side on this matter. As always, the aim was to offer as much information and views on the story as possible and to leave it to our viewers to draw their own conclusions.
Finally, we do value your feedback about this. All complaints are sent to senior management and we’ve included your points in our overnight report.
These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the company and ensures that your concerns have been seen by the right people quickly. This helps inform their decisions about current and future content.
This is our response at Stage 1a of BBC’s complaints process. If you’re dissatisfied with this reply, a follow-up complaint may be considered at Stage 1b. A follow-up complaint must be submitted within 20 working days through the BBC Complaints webform at https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/complaints/make-a-complaint/#/Complaint
Your complaint should include your case number, and clearly and concisely set out why you feel your complaint has not been addressed. We will then look at your complaint again.
Thanks once again for getting in touch”
Nevertheless, thanks for raising the complaint. The more that do, the mire the BBC will realise that there are lots of people who are not happy with Mr Stokes' anti LBA reporting...and if that's it the case, then they will understand that people are perceiving it that way. Finally received a response back from the BBC - as expected they backed their reporter and stand by the report. Maybe he should end up in court with trying to bribe the councilJust as long as the Council plays a straight bat in accordance with the law he can plead all he wants but it won’t get him anywhere. Seems like he is putting pressure on the Council to bend the law and consider things that legally are not part of the CLEUD process. That he is doing this is a sign of desperation of him and his mates who have been outmanoeuvred.
Nah he will just be doing it for his own gain like most politicians.Maybe he should end up in court with trying to bribe the council
I bet his phone has been red hot with calls from the clown group so has to show he is trying to do something
All politicians have to play/appeal to their core supporters, their constituency or Ward party. To be selected/re selected to face the wider electorate they have to win/retain their support. The local party is a small, not necessarily representative, part of their electorate and may hold significantly different views to the wider electorate. However, they hold considerable power and influence over the MP or councillor.Nah he will just be doing it for his own gain like most politicians.
And we claim to be democratic. All politicians have to play/appeal to their core supporters, their constituency or Ward party. The wider electorate only get their say at an election when the candidate has been selected/re selected by a minority group.
He is certainly trying to get the council to ignore the rules, listen to him, and look at data submitted from others that should be inadmissible. As such, in the event of a negative outcome, he's opening the door for an appeal, but seems too stupid to realise it..Maybe he should end up in court with trying to bribe the council

Very true and I am sure there will indeed be people out there who genuinely don't wish to see any more night flights from LBA but many will have formed this opinion through misinformation spread by the clown group and their media correspondent working for the BBC. We all know though that if LCC don't play by the rules it will leave the council in a difficult position in the event of potential court case. All politicians have to play/appeal to their core supporters, their constituency or Ward party. There was also an interesting point made by the Lab Cllr report that LBA commercial aircraft movements were considerably higher in 2010 underlining the fact that aircraft noise is now significantly lower than previously …. Just checked and indeed they were! The Conservative Cllr also calls out the group that shouldn’t be named for misinformation and misleading statements. A refreshing change! How refreshing are the responses from both Labour and Conservative councillors to the Greens loony motion on LBA at yesterday’s Bradford Council meeting!
Perhaps they can speak to their colleagues in Leeds!
LBA motion is debated at around the 1hr 26min mark.

Actually it is the 1hr 23 point!
In Bradford they can generally speak out without much fear of losing their seat as a result. LBA causes little noise in Bradford apart from a few with sensitive ears in Baildon plus of course the moaners in Burley in Wharfedale and Menston. In Leeds, there are clearly people working the strings of MP and Councillor puppets to.ensyre they oppose the airport. It cannot be coincidence that virtually every MP and Councillor in the vicinity of the airport over the last 30 tears has openly fought to oppose it's development. There was also an interesting point made by the Lab Cllr report that LBA commercial aircraft movements were considerably higher in 2010 underlining the fact that aircraft noise is now significantly lower than previously ….
