Back to positive things at our ever growing airport, how much more steel work is to go up? Im guessing from the last pics its just that final corner so a bit more length on the road/entrance facing side?

I was thinking the same. I think it is three more main columns to the main part of the building.Back to positive things at our ever growing airport, how much more steel work is to go up? Im guessing from the last pics its just that final corner so a bit more length on the road/entrance facing side?
Through looking at lbaspotters pics you can see one piece of steel work on its own so my bet is once that final corner is complete thats the full length done. Im pretty impressed, much larger than i expected (no jokes please)I was thinking the same. I think it is three more main columns to the main part of the building.
Don’t worry @LBA4EVER no one will make any jokes because as @Len Fish says we aren’t allowed a sense of humour any longerThrough looking at lbaspotters pics you can see one piece of steel work on its own so my bet is once that final corner is complete thats the full length done. I believe the A320 order was converted to a A321 order so it was probably correct.Another point in the vision, slide 25 states Jet2 have ordered 35 A320NEO aircraft?
Well this is categorically wrong and needs changing. They don't have any A320 on order.
It was correct when first drafted. They only recently converted the order from A320NEOs to A321NEOs - a factor that probably escaped the attention of whoever produced this.Another point in the vision, slide 25 states Jet2 have ordered 35 A320NEO aircraft?

You have just said….you’re pretty impressed with the full length…and you you ask for no jokes…ok then.Through looking at lbaspotters pics you can see one piece of steel work on its own so my bet is once that final corner is complete thats the full length done. I agree but let's not forget this is an old regurgitated inferior project LBA had to revisit due to the problems getting plans for a new terminal over the line. I wouldn't hold your hopes up on the cladding been outstanding.Once the steels are up, if we mirror the Man piers, the cladding will follow pretty quickly. I’m just hoping with the cladding they choose well, as nothing is worse than mucky, tired looking cladding on a building - it can make something look cheap. Decent cladding on the other hand is ok. So let’s hope we get something reasonable![]()
The architects do that and recommend the cladding. What we get is already decided, approved by the Council and on order.Good point Yorkieflyer. However, I’m not expecting it to match, I just hope the cladding, lighting and any embellishments at least look reasonable. The piers at Man in the black look ok, nowt special, but equally not awful. The light grey on the t2 at Manchester I don’t think will age well, so I’m hoping LBA do some research![]()
The plans I saw recently had a ground level pier extending from the new building eastward for about the distance between one aircraft stand. Maybe it'll be constructed last.Have the plans changed? I thought we were due a small pier on the east side, but it seems the entire building extends the full distance now. Is that an increase in stated floor space, or are the plans outdated?
