Pegasus to Istanbul showing 6 weekly in the flight info part with no Monday flights

6th weekly flight not on sale.

It makes no sense, why would they currently sell flights for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, then drop the Monday flight thats already being sold/bookable, and add Wednesday & Friday? If it was going to go 6 weekly, they would either just add Wednesday or Friday to the current schedule.

Pegasus today announced an increase in flights from its base in SAW to BHX and EDI. Last week it also announced a new route to BRS starting this summer, so I thought I'd look at what flights are available to Istanbul (IST & SAW) during a week in August 2025.

A very good airline and glad they are at BHX with steady growth. While they are low cost, they don't feel ultra low cost onboard.

I like their pricing too. Base fare gives you 3kg luggage, however for £20 more you now have 3kg + 7kg cabin bag + 20kg checked bag which is not bad at all compared to Ryanair or Wizzair. They will switch equipment on the day based on loads so the many A321s during past couple of months is an encouraging sign.

Yes the way they target aircraft use is very interesting and I can`t answer for BHX but at MAN there are quite a few extra flights so they are very switched on

In the months of August and Sept, they appear to be averaging around the 180 pax per flight on the BHX-SAW route which is pretty decent given the fact this is their first year going Daily!

As of now they drop down to 4x weekly from the end October until end of March when it returns back to daily which is a much longer season than 2025 (they went daily June-Oct in 2025) but would be great to see them retain daily through winter and increase to 10/14x weekly in Summer 2026.

Pegasus applied for Daily Slots in W25/26 ACL Slot Allocation report so its obviously something pegasus are looking at. let see how things evolve....

They are advertising on Hits Radio Birmingham many times a day so there is a clear plan

Whilst appreciate @Birmingham Aviation made comment to it above...

Pegasus are now 5x weekly from now until 30th March when they go for the Summer season. Quite a big jump when last years they were 4x weekly over winter, 6x weekly over spring and went daily from early June.

I anticipet they will go 9/10x weekly this summer at this rate!

They wanted 3 weekly AYT last summer but got cancelled.

Can they apply for more slots if they want to?

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
