I feel if an airlines bases one here, it will be out by 6/7am and likely not back until 9:30/10am, usually the fog has lifted (wind is harder to call) but EI didn't too bad yesterday. Abit strange why the DUB didn't attempt whilst the BHD got in first time in the AM.

All 3 airports, LBA, BHD and DUB suffer with wind issues, so many a time LBA is not the problem, those ATR pilots do a fine job!

No I doubt it
Shown on LBA arrivals as Expected 0145. Where it's expected may be another matter but there's nothing shown regarding a divert.
Likely as not, runway work may be suspended now for Christmas as the building trade usually shuts down for 2 weeks, so it'll be down to ATC and airport staff hanging around for a couple of hours.

Based on FR24 data, during the last 80 days of operation, EI3390 from DUB has diverted to LPL 5 times. The equivalent MAN flight (also operated by Emerald), appears to have been cancelled once.

Thats a big difference and of course there are several EI mainline flights into MAN that pax can be transferred onto.

You mention 5 diversions, but Im sure there were several flights cancelled into Leeds in addition to these.

Lets see what tomorrow brings- winds are unfavourable again!

Some, if not all of those cancellations were nothing to do with the weather here and caused by the weather in Ireland.

Meanwhile, the forecast suggests that by tomorrow evening the wind direction will once again be from the NW, and straight down 32 at LBA. They also show 60mph crosswind gusts elsewhere, notably MAN.

This mornings Emerald EI3672 flight from Belfast has been cancelled. Looking at Belfast departures flights to all other ATR destinations have operated, including MAN.

Ryanair Boeing 737-800, EI-GXJ operating the “RYR459R” from Dublin diverting to Manchester.

Jet2 Boeing 737-800, G-DRTV inbound from Geneva as “EXS286” also looks to be diverting to Manchester
So annoying when flights go to MAN of all airports!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
