Get rid of those 733s is what I say! Sorry my record is stuck.........He had low fuel so diverted to EMA to refuel before flying back with the passengers to Leeds.
Is it unusual to use a 733 on this route?Get rid of those 733s is what I say! Sorry my record is stuck.........
Wind is 270 degrees, 31 gusting 46 knots. The damn wind is ridiculous for this time or year. And if the El Nino predictions are to be believed it's a sign of things to come this autumn and winter. We might be glad of a reduced flying schedule this winter (he says trying to look for a positive)
Yes the repositioning of warm waters in the pacific ocean may well cause some interesting weather this winter with a more enhanced wet, windy but mild start but then cold, snowy weather 2nd half of winter, we shall see?The damn wind is ridiculous for this time or year. Possibly but have to wonder why given it had only flown from Reus and the wind was blowing and forecast to get worse. Why go light on fuel? The one that landed had flown from Barcelona which isnt that far from Reus.Could be the first aircraft had insufficient fuel to risk flying to LBA and making a missed approach.
Boarding I think 🙌My wife is currently sat waiting for the FR to DUB. Delayed. No news of possible ETD.
I have concerns. Inbound has been on the ground for a couple of hours.
The earlier DUB flight taxied out and held at the top of taxiway Delta fir about 10 minutes while several flights landed, or attempted to, but then it entered 32, taxied down to the next taxiway, turned right then stopped on the taxiway. Not sure how long for, or why. I doubt the wind was outside limits as another 737 took off immediately after. It may have caused a knock on delay? My wife is currently sat waiting for the FR to DUB. Different airlines have different crosswind limits which may be below the manufacturer limits and may or may not include all, half or none of the gust value. So identical aircraft types are often operating under differing limits. The earlier DUB flight taxied out and held at the top of taxiway Delta fir about 10 minutes while several flights landed, or attempted to, but then it entered 32, taxied down to the next taxiway, turned right then stopped on the taxiway. Thanks. It was a 737 MAX 8200 operating the flight.Different airlines have different crosswind limits which may be below the manufacturer limits and may or may not include all, half or none of the gust value. So identical aircraft types are often operating under differing limits.
I read on another platform from someone on board that it was a medical emergencyPossibly but have to wonder why given it had only flown from Reus and the wind was blowing and forecast to get worse. Why go light on fuel? The one that landed had flown from Barcelona which isnt that far from Reus.
Yes, I wondered at the time if someone on board had a problem. Just as well it had been holding 10 minutes, otherwise they might have already been airborne.I read on another platform from someone on board that it was a medical emergency
