We arrived at the airport around 3 hours before our departures to Tenerife at 12:20 in the afternoon. The check-in procedure was fast and efficient and we proceeded to security. The security process was generally good apart from we felt the security officer who dealt with us was a little rude.
At the airport there was a good selection of shops for the size of the airport and we spent a small fortune in the Leeds United shop and Duty Free before heading to Starbucks for a coffee.
Time soon past before it was time to board. We boarded without any fuss via the stairwell and a short walk to stand number 9 where our aircraft was parked and we were greeted and welcomed onboard by the cabin crew.

The flight departed near enough on time, departing runway 14 from Leeds, seethe South-easterly facing runway. The flight was smooth and the cabin crew were polite and atentive throughout. The flight deck crew made regular updates regarding our routing to Tenerife and expected time of arrival. Much of the journey was over light cloud so we couldn't see much for the flight down.
We landed at Tenerife more or less on time. Our arrival was into a tailwind and we could tell because we used much of the runway and the following flights arrived from the opposite direction.
Once arriving on stand we waited several minutes for a bus to arrive. The crew apologised for the delay and the bus arrived soon after. While still onboard we received a text from Jet2 advising us of a delay at immigration passport control. The queue was substantial with several flights in the non EU queue.
The delay at passport control meant our bags were already on the carrosel in the arrivals hall although passengers were turning baggage around to allow more bags to come onto the belt as it was full.
Not a fantastic experience arriving at the airport but the Jet2 staff were readily available to assist passengers with their onward journey.
