The 737 MAX was touted as a superb aircraft when it was launched, a game changer....with 100’s on order...test of time only tells what a great aircraft is...the B747 is by far the best plane ever built in my opinion very closely followed by the 737-300.

The trouble with the MAX is it wasn't a new aircraft it was a redesign of an old aircraft. A fatal error quite literally.

I wonder will passengers want to fly on the MAX ?

` Mad Max` now has a worldwide reputation, for the wrong reasons. I know public memory is short, but I still think that the travelling public will want to avoid this one , in the short term certainly. I just wonder if Boeing might even ditch it, but that`s just thinking aloud at this time.

I think Ryanair who of course have ordered a load of them, have slightly changed the name of the model.

I doubt many will know what aircraft type they will fly on including many frequent fliers and i've no doubt the MAX part will be quietly dropped by many airlines. Ryanair are going to call it 737 8200. I wouldn't be surprised if many call it the 737 8.

Thats if it ever fly’s again.....
It will, Boeing are saying December now but with airlines i'd probably expect it to be spring and into summer and people will forget about it, the Dreamliner is an example of that.

It;s funny you should say that, but according to Skyliner, some Icelandair 737MAX have recently been flown to Lleida-Alguaire in Spain, so someone is being brave!!

Not sure about that as the EU banned MAX ops until further notice. Only within the last couple of weeks the EU said it was not yet satisfied with the Boeing MAX fix and it sought further improvements.

These are ferry flights which I believe that they have to get special permission for.

01:27??? Were you out trick-or-treating last night A300boy?

Anyway, I like a good guessing game on a Friday, just like our office music lyrics quiz!!

Right, if it's good news, I would guess at a new operator, such as Easyjet, Lufthansa or HOP.

It it's bad news, I would guess at either FlyBe or Ryanair pulling out.

Now where did I put my tin hat??

I saw a report yesterday about possible Emirates exapnsion in the UK, Leeds, Bristol and Liverpool were mentioned as possible destinations. Probably not this i know but thought i would add to the rumours!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
