LBA is still likely to be one of the first airports to complete this work. Unfortunately the delays being encountered are entirely the doing of the supplier and government .

I sincerely hope he wins then. The Labour candidate has already shown she's opposed to LBA, and is frankly, someone who I really can't stand. Not my area though so I'll be stuck with her anti airport buddy, Alex Sobel. So it seems Stuart Andrew isn’t standing in the new Leeds NW constituency- the Tory candidate is Andrew Huggins who doesn't come from the area, but it would seem is destined for high things in the Tory party. From an airport perspective the good news is Mr Huggins is a commercial pilot currently flying for Ryanair out of Stansted! I guess with the current state of the parties it’s a long shot him getting elected this time but let’s hope he stays around as it would be nice to have some political support for the airport for a change! https://www.andrewhuggins.org.uk/about-andrew-huggins
Alpha Should be opening in April now aswell.A new round of taxiway repairs have started on Alpha, with some decent progress made overnight. Around a dozen 12ft squares dug up
Flew out of LBA last weekend and I have to say the guys on security were first class. Despite it being extremely busy they had it well under control and were working extremely hard to ensure everything ran smoothly. Managed drop off to airside Starbucks in 20 minute!LBA is still likely to be one of the first airports to complete this work. Can you provide a link to the document you are referring to?Has the airport's operational boundary changed? The red line boundary on LCC's planning portal extends beyond West Carlton and includes places like Calfhole Wood.
Could be right, but that is a massive area just for tree planting. I cannot find the site location plan for ref. 20/02559/FU (brand new terminal 2020 application), but I can find the attached red line boundary from the Design and Access Statement - which is noticeably different. Note that it does include some land to the west of 14.I seem to recall that land was earmarked for growing trees under the old terminal plans as part of the application.

I think what was said is that one will be refurbished and the other will be replaced. The airbridge on Stand 8 remains unserviceable.
