If I can be of help please feel free to contact me anytime via the PM system on here. I'm always open to new ideas.
I'd like to get involved. I think we need to campaign to the local MP's. I've seen a lot recently where they're listenting to GALBA. Who we know aren't even local.

I run Guiseley and Yeadon Issues on FB and the support for the airport outweighs any negatives by 100-1. At least!

We need to get the support for the airport rallied. And cancel GALBA's voice out.

As I am not on FB that would be no help to me but it was one of the reasons why I went to some community events to show my support. Think it's fairly well known that they who shall not be named are very.much in the minority however much their own delusions of grandeur believe otherwise. And I again believe LCC are about to apply common sense re night flying

But this CLEUD issue isnt something MPs can influence! They can say what they like but the law is the law. LBA either have a legally sound case or they don't. What an MP says is not relevant for this, unlike a planning application, which is very clearly something LBA are hoping to avoid. Even then, MPs can object but as we saw with Project Sky, when all 5 Leeds Labour MPs objected, the Labour led Leeds City Council approved it anyway.

MPs only listen if it is in their own interest
I would say MPs only listen when what they are hearing agrees with their own personal beliefs. When did anyone ever see an MP bothering to find out what the majority of their constituents think, particularly relating to LBA?

No, they don't represent the wishes of the majority. They assume that because they were voted in, that gives them carte blanche to follow their own beliefs, irrespective of whether they previously made their views known (and in one instance expressed support for LBA only to oppose it once elected).

Never trust an MP.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
