Jet2 have 2 aircraft parked on the taxiway which was the old runway and the rest are performing a static air display

It seemed to me what he was really trying to say was that if the country was starting with a blank piece of paper Church Fenton would be a better bet than LBA for an airport site. That argument applies to many airports around the country whose location is the result of a quirk of local history, whether taking over a redundant military airfield or a pre-war civic airport site.

I've heard the same argument about Bristol. Filton (near the M5, M4 and rail lines) was closed and the airport is Lulsgate (on the A38 and... erm.. that's it).

When we arrived back from Tenerife last Saturday night on B737-800 G-GDFZ we had to wait until they connected a tug and pushed us back into a parking space or the old runway 28.

A/c are parked all over the place! It's really not good logistically and I don't know how the top brass at jet2 are taking it. They are the airline that suffers the most when they need an aircraft out but they have to move three others first. It's also problematic as the service providers at the airport cannot attend the a/c when parked in certain positions. No fuel, catering or cleaning until they are moved...

4-6 new parking stands better be in that masterplan!!

Maybe jet2 could do a deal with Church Fenton and park the planes there and use the hangers there if they will fit in

Just like to mention that I've just uploaded a first edition of the LBAspotters.net summer 2015 timetable. http://www.lbaspotters.net/summer2015timetable.htm

As always please feel free to download a copy for personal use and if you seen any problems or I if I have missed anything please don't hesitate to contact via private message on the forum. Also if you would rather have this as a Microsoft Word document I can send you it via email.

Think they have been up since Christmas! Thought it was festive lights they forgot to take down!

Just noticed on FR24 a Qatar A319LR A7-CJB heading in to LHR from Doha, this proves Qatar have the equipment to come in to Lba without bringing the big stuff - unless of course it's a special one off flight.

The A319 DOH-LHR flights are in an all business class cabin layout, so lightly loaded for the range.

Cabin config totally unsuitable for anywhere other than the big Euro airports (LHR/FRA/CDG)

Thanks very much User 001, I suspected there'd be a valid explanation!

Snowman 1: Certainly in respect of malaga all the actions to strike for March and April have been cancelled.
We were effected both going out and coming back over Mar/Apl and May, but thankfully about 10 days ago they announced action cancelled.
Notice on Forums like Trip Advisor some incorrect information.

The latest strikes were the baggage handlers which were going to be for 2 hours a day, all cancelled.
The French ATC strike tomorrow could cause european delays.

Just uploaded the 2nd edition on the LBAspotters.net Summer 2015 timetable taking into account the recent changes to Flybe's "flyshuttle" service and Eastern Airways keeping 3x daily on the ABZ & SOU routes, Ryanair have also added a few extra flights to the already known programme.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
