Knowing TUI surprised they didn't go straight to Doncaster and bus the Leeds passengers as they seem to like DSA as opposed LBA. Mind you sounds like 'their' favourite Yorkshire airport didn't have many onboard hence reason it came into Leeds. Could TUI be realising that LBA has far more potential if they put the flights on rather to DSA.

Definitely not. What they will realise is LBA has the potential to fill the "core" routes for Summer which in turn also help fill cruises for TUI. Hence PMI/CFU which are traditionally big cruise ports for TUI cruises.

I will be not be shocked to see a W Pattern DLM flight if DLM becomes a successful cruising port for TUI cruises.

Looks like yesterday’s LBA-CFU didn’t operate. G-TAWI did MAN-CFU-LBA then remained on the ground until this morning before positioning back to MAN.

The flight appears to be operating this evening, albeit from DSA instead. Not sure what will happen to the cruise passengers as I assume the ship will not have waited that long.

The aircraft went Tech I believe as it taxied out to depart. Yet another plane load of unhappy TUi customers. Not only a 24 hour delay but now a different departure airport, and almost certainly missed the boat!

I wonder if they could move the passengers to a different flight to marry up with the ships. And an extra night, on TUI of course, if it doesn’t arrive till let’s say tomorrow. Trouble is seat availability

Normally the cruise companies will get the passengers to the next port of call and compensate the passengers for a shortened holiday. The airline in this case TUI pick-up the bill as no doubt its all in the contract.

The ship will try and stick to its itinerary come what may war and pestilence excepted!

There's bound to be contra changes from Marella to the airline arm of TUI as they are run as separate entities as stand alone businesses under the overall TUI umbrella.

No doubt though once the bean counters do the end of year figures money will mysteriously move around the businesses to achieve the lowest overall tax bill however the business itself will know exactly the real profits/losses of its various parts, but yes your correct that essentially there are no bills overall unless a third party is contracted such as another airline or port handing costs.

I'm such a cynic!

Don’t think TUI would ever have seats for other cruise operators as it dilutes what they are trying to offer.

Think the likes of Royal Caribbean now use Jet2, BA, virgin etc.

They do operate a large programme for P&O to BGI throughout the winter it takes up 10 788/9s to load the ship over two days (we've flown them several times) and also to the Canaries and Malta also for P&O.were doing a Malta cruise with them in September.

The Barbados flights operate from Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham with random flights from other regional airports.

I know from BHX last winter TUI operated up to three flights a week two for P&O exclusively and one for Marella

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
